It was currently the day that Taylor went to Toronto to begin promoting her album, before moving on to Europe and then finally America. She still had a solid few hours before her plane left and she planned to spend it with her girlfriend.

For once, Karlie had woken up before Taylor and was in the bathroom brushing her teeth. The singer had just heaved her body out of the comfort of the duvet and made her way to Karlies side of the bed to find the cable so she could charge her phone. As she plugged her phone in and left it on the bedside table, she noticed the last draw was open slightly and she could see a shine emitting from it.

Curiously, she squatted down and opened the draw further which revealed a plastic bag full of half a dozen multicoloured coins, but mostly red. Wanting to know what was written on them, Taylor opened the plastic bag and pulled one out. It was red and on it was a big "1" in the middle accompanied with the words "To thine own self be true" and "unity, service, recovery".

Not knowing what any of this meant she did what any sane person would and googled it, however, what she found surprised her.

What she held in her hand was a sobriety chip that was given in AA meetings and the number signifies how long your been sober for. So in this case - 1 month. Come to think of it, most of the chips were red, with a couple 2 month chips that were a gold colour.

Shit. What does this mean?

"Hey, what you got there," Karlie asks as she walks back into the room and finds Taylor with her back to her and her head dipped, staring at something.

"Oh, ermmm. I was hoping you could tell me that," Taylor replies, spinning around and holding the red chip up in the air.

Karlies face turns white as she stares at her girlfriend who was expecting a calm explanation as to why she had sobriety chips - what she got was the opposite.

"Who the fuck said you could go through my draws!" Karlie shouts as she lunges towards Taylor and grabs the bag out of her left hand and the red chip out of her right.

"I was just putting my phone on charge and your draw was open," Taylor replies timidly.

"It's none of your fucking business why I have them!" She continued shouting, but as she said it, her hands swung up in the air dramatically and the chips went flying everywhere. "Fuck!"

She frantically drops to her knees and begins collecting them all and putting them back in the bag.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude," Taylor said with tears threatening to spill out of her eyes as she became slightly scared of her girlfriends erratic behaviour.

"Just get out and don't come back."

"You can talk to me, Kar. I won't judge you," she pleaded as the tears streamed down her cheeks.

"What do you want me to say? That I'm a fuck up. Is that what you want to hear?" Karlie says as hot tears of her own fell down her face.

"No I just want to hel-"

She was cut off by the green eyed girl.

"I'm a fucking alcoholic, don't you think people have tried to help me, because they have. It's not even a problem for me, you know me and I drink in front of you and I'm fine. Other people don't see that so they forced me to go to those goddamn AA meetings which never helped."
