Today was the day. The day Dwayne had to go back. We packed his stuff and he gave me a hoodie that smelled like him and a bottle of his cologne to spray on the hoodie since we didn't know when we'd see each other again.  We drove him to the airport. "Call me when you get home. And don't forget to call everyday or when you can. Write me. Do anything just talk to me." I said. "Hold me." He said. I wrapped my arms around him and we held each other. "Flight 8920 to Austin Texas now boarding at gate 1." They called. "Hey. Don't forget. I love you." He said and leaned down and kissed me. "I love you too."I said while I was crying. "I'll call you when I get home." He said. "See you soon cowboy." I said and he walked off. I watched him. He walked through those doors to go back home. I was sad.

I went home and put on his Texas hoodie. It spelt just like him. I fell asleep the way I had for the past two days. I felt safe. I felt like he was here.

I woke up and took his hoodie off and changed into jeans, a t shirt and Nike's. Then I put his hoodie back on and pulled my hair up and walked out of my room. "Samantha. Here you go." Jack said handing me a plate of food. "I've got to get to school early." I said and took a price of toast and water and walked off. I left home and walked to school. I was standing at my locker putting stuff inside when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Larson. "What?" I asked "You love home don't you?" He asked "Who? Dwayne?" I asked "Yeah him." He said "Larson you broke up with me. Two and a half years later I found him. He cares. I told him everything and he didn't leave. He didn't walk out on me like you did." I said and slammed my locker and walked to first period. I sat at my desk. Waiting to get home. "Charlie!" Jessie yelled waking him up.
This was going to be funny. Charlie hadn't been sleeping I guess.

I walked inside and sat at the table doing homework. It was now 7:30. I was only on my algebra. The phone started to ring. Mom grabbed it. "Samantha it's for you." She said. I ran to the phone.
"Hey Darlin."
"Hey cowboy."
"What's up?"
"Homework. What are you doing?"
"Just got home."
"From school?"
"Yeah."
"Well it's nice to hear you're voice again."
"Sammy you know I'm only one call away."
"I know but it feels likes your in another world."

"Maybe for summer break, you could come down. Meet my parents. See me in my natural habitat."

"Maybe."
"I love you Sam."
"I love you too cowboy."
"I'll call you later?"
"Yeah."
"Goodnight Darlin"
"Night Dwayne."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
I hung the phone up smiling.
