We had won most of our games. This would decide if we faced Iceland in the finals. We played for hours preparing for this. We won! We are going to the finals. The only things that scared me was Iceland.

I walked into the locker rooms for one of the last times. I found Dwayne and he was in his normal boots and jeans. "Hey." He said and kissed my forehead. "Last game. You nervous?" He asked "Yeah." I said. We had finally gotten to where we were ok with the team and everyone knowing we were together. I changed into my gear. We walked onto the ice and did the pledge. Once it was over I skated to the side and the game started. I payed a good two periods. We were in halftime and we were scared about the score.
Coach have a speech. He pointed to every person on the team one by one. "Charlie Conway. Minneapolis Minnesota." "Julie Gaffney, Bangor Maine." "Dwayne Robertson. Austin, Texas." Dwayne said and stood up. I waited until right before Coach. "Sam Conway. Minneapolis Minnesota." I said and Dwayne took me in his arms. "Michelle McKay. Duluth Minnesota." "And I'm Gordon Bombay. Minneapolis Minnesota." Coach ended. Jan's said we needed to be Ducks.

At the end of halftime we walked out in white duck jerseys. We were in the fourth period. I had the puck. I was going down the middle and turned to go around the net and two Iceland goons slammed me into a wall. I felt a familiar pain. I felt them get off me and I fell to the ground. "Sam!" Charlie yelled "CHARLIE!" I yelled and he came running on the ice with Dwayne. "Sam Conway is down. Someone get the paramedics in the rink!" The announcer yelled "Sam!" Coach yelled. I knew this wasn't going to end good. They took me back into the locker rooms and told me "You had a shoulder injury three years ago to the exact shoulder am I right?" "Yes." I said "Well good news it's only knocked out of place. You'll be able to play still but not in this game." She said "Wait until my team is back here before you pop it into place." I said. About 30 minutes later I heard cheering we won. The team did their thing and Charlie  and Dwayne came into the locker room. "Hey." I said. "How bad is it?" Charlie asked "It's just knocked out of place. I'll still be able to play." I said. "She wanted her team in here when I put it back." The paramedic said "Ok, I'm ready." I said. She grabbed my shoulder and I grabbed Charlie's hand. "1.2.3." She said slowly. There was a pop and I screamed. Then I opened my eyes. I was in a sling. "Hey." Dwayne said "Hi." I said. "How's your shoulder?" He asked "It doesn't hurt as bad as last time but it hurts." I said.
