I woke up and changed into jeans, a black sweater and converse. I brushed my hair and pulled it up and grabbed my bag and walked into the kitchen. "We have practice. 5:30 at the rink." Charlie said. I ate and went to school. I saw my friends standing outside the building. I went up to them and they walked off. "See now your not even a hawk." Jessie said. I turned around and punched him right in the face. "Don't you ever trip me or talk to me again." I said and walked inside. I walked to my old classroom and the teacher was at her desk. "Can I speak with Adam banks. Blake Larson and McGill." I said and she called them to the front. "The three of you outside now!" I said and pushed them into the hall. "Speak." I said "We don't have to talk to you anymore." McGill said "Blake?" I asked "He's right. We don't have to. And I can't be with someone who is against me." He said "What are you saying?" I asked "We are done." He said I slapped him across the face. I picked my bag up and walked into class. I saw Charlie looking at me with concern. I wiped my face in front of him and sat at my desk. A few minutes later I realized I needed to put my glasses on. I took my contacts out and pulled out my glasses and slid them on. Soon the lunch bell rang and I stormed out of class and to my locker. I should've knows Charlie would've been waiting for me. "Sam what's wrong?" He asked "Charlie don't pretend to care about me." I said and opened my locker. "Sam your my sister. I know I haven't been the nicest person since I met you but that's because dad took you from me and mom. I had been raised an only child and now I'm having to get used to you being there." He said "Larson. McGill. They don't want to talk to me anymore. Blake broke up with me." I said and I felt Charlie pull me into a hug. "Charlie let's go!" Jessie yelled "Come on Sam." Charlie said "Thy don't like me Charlie." I said "They will now come on." He said and pulled me with him. "What's the hawk doing here." Jessie snapped "Guys she's my sister. The hawks they don't want anything to do with her anymore. Larson broke her heart because she is playing for us." Charlie said "How do we know she won't turn on us when we play them?" A blonde boy asked "Karp she played me. Her own brother. She won't turn on us. They won't talk to her anymore." Charlie said "Guys I'm glad to have another girl on the team." A girl said. "Ok introductions. Karp, Jessie, Connie, Avermen, Guy, Goldberg, Peter and Terry." Charlie said. "Guys this is my sister Samantha." Charlie said. We ate lunch as a team and I could feel the hawks staring holes into my back.
~~~~~~~2nd Hawks game~~~~~~
I walked out on the ice with the team. We are now called the Ducks. I had my green jersey on and was skating next to Charlie. We had finally gotten close and the team has warmed up to me. We got on the bench and coached walked over to the hawks I couldn't see what was going on but from the looks of it. I think Adam is being transferred like I was. I see Larson and McGill staring at me. "Don't worry about them. Your a duck now." Charlie said. We played the game.
~~~~~Practice the next day~~~~~~
"Y'all know Adam banks? Well he will be joining us from now on. He should've been with us all season but you guys were cheated of that." Coach said. Adams I haven't talked to or be around the hawks since I was transferred. I sat in the locker room. I waited for Adam so I could talk to him. Shortly after Adam walked in. Jessie got in his face and was trash talking. I saw the team leave and Adam was standing there. "Their a great group of kids once you get to know them." Coach said "I bet." Adam said. Coach walked out. "Adam. Can we talk?" I asked "Now that the hawks hate both of us we are in the same boat." He said "Why didn't you guys talk to me when I pulled y'all in the hallway?" I asked "McGill and Larson are jerks. They told me we couldn't be friends with you and that Blake couldn't be with you." Adam
Said. "So McGill made that choice?" I asked "To cut me off after you guys told me we are hawks. We will always stick together." I said "Sam. I didn't have a choice. Riley he's a jerk. He would've kicked me and the rest off the team if we hung out with you." Adam said "Whatever." I said and walked out.
