Eighteen - Favor

HICCUP'S POV

"I am going to the ball Dad." I told him getting angrier.

"No you're not!" he shouted.

"Why not?! I am old enough to handle myself! It's been almost 6 or 7 years since Rapunzel was gone.!"  I calmed myself down because I thought about Rapunzel. I breathed deeply and tried not to shout anymore. "Look Dad, we're still alive. We're going to be okay. I assure you. Just please. Let me go with you to Dunbroch." I assured him.

He looked downcasted and I was just waiting for him to say yes so this argument will be over.

"I'm sorry son... but my decision will stand." He said without looking at me.

He was going to walk away but I must be brave enough to say this. "I know you're protecting me Dad. You're all protecting us." I sighed and clenched my fist to hold my anger. "Even the death of the King and Queen of Arendelle, you hid it from us."

He was shocked and he didn't faced me. "How did you know that?" he asked calmly.

"It doesn't matter. I'm going to the ball Dad." I can't take it anymore. I wanted to be alone so I went outside even if it was raining and dark. I walked angrily. I was stomping my feet and my eyes kept furrowed.

"Hiccup?" Someone called but I didn't mind. I just wanna get out of here. I heard footsteps coming towards me and it was Jack.

JACK'S POV

"Hiccup!" I tried to stop him but he kept walking so I just walked beside him.

"It's your Father huh?" He didn't respond.

"Well, did he say no?" I asked again.

"I'm going to take that as a yes." I smirked but he still wasn't talking to me.

We ended up at the glade where Toothless was hiding. He sat up and leaned his back on a rock behind him.

"You ready to tell me?" I asked and he sighed.

"We had an argument because he doesn't want us to go to DunBroch with him and I told him that we already know about what happened to Elsa and Anna's parents." he told me.

"You do know that we can still go to DunBroch with or without your Dad's permission right?" I asked.

"Of course I know. I just want him to trust us that we can go too." he answered.

Toothless came and played his head with Hiccup's body. I think he was trying to calm him down and it was working. Look at that big baby reptile of him, getting everyone's attention. Psssh. It kinda made sense because he is a dragon.

"Big Baby!" I said irritatingly. Toothless heard me and looked at me like he wanted to eat me whole. I just raised my hand as a surrender and Hiccup chuckled.

After a few more hours, we decided to go home.

HICCUP'S POV

The morning came and Dad came up to my room while I was packing my things.

"I can't restraint you from coming with me huh?" he asked but I just continued to pack.

"Promise me that we'll be back here together, the two of us." He said and I realized that he changed his mind. I looked at him and hugged him.

"Thanks Dad. I promise." I told him. Then suddenly, I thought about Toothless. I can't leave him alone here at Berk.

It was already afternoon and it was time for the ship to sail off. I talked to Jack inside the ship.

"I need a favor to ask Jack."

"What is it?" he asked.

"I am going to Dunbroch with Tootless and-" 

"What?!" he asked and almost shouted. 

"I can't leave him here Jack." I told him.

"You expect me to lie to your Father for 2 days that you're here with me in this ship?" He was getting a little mad.

"Please? It's just for 2 days." I pleaded.

"What am I going to say if he wants to talk to you?"

"I don't know. Think of some excuse?"

"For 2 days?!"

"Come on Jack."

"Is everyone on the ship?" My Father asked.

"YES!" we both shouted.

"Fine!" he said and crossed his arms.

"Thanks Jack." I smiled and ran outside the ship.

JACK'S POV

Okay, so I was in our room inside the ship and it was already dark. I was thinking of some excuse that I could tell to his Father and suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

 "Hiccup? Jack?"

Oh great. It was Mr. Stoick. I panicked for a few seconds and breathe heavily. When I opened the door, I smiled awkwardly at him.

"Dinner is ready Jack. Come eat with us and tell Hiccup.."

"Yes Sir, we'll ummm, we'll catch up." I closed the door and I was breathing nervously.

"O-okay." Mr. Stoick said outside the door.

I let the time passed by and... gruumbleee

Great, my stomach started to complain. I must eat. I opened the door silently and peeked outside to check if it was clear to go. It was quiet so I went outside the room and took some food where they keep them. I was already facing the door of our room when...

"Hey Jack" I jumped and turned around.

"Hey Sir."I replyed and smiled anxiously. He looked at me then to the food that I was embracing.

"This is umm... for umm.." I stammered and he raised a brow. Come on Jack. Think!

"Hiccup is in the bathroom Sir, feeling seasick so I just umm brought this to him."

"Oww but... Hiccup? Seasick? He doesn't feel that way before." he said.

"First time huh? Well, that's what I thought so sir." I looked down so he can't tell that I was lying.

"Okay." he said and nodded.

I immediately opened the door and went inside. "Night Sir." and closed it.

"You owe me big time Hic!"
