The Beginning of Our Oath (Big Six Fanfiction)

Eight - Save her

One week had passed and they all noticed how Rapunzel changed. Every once in a while, her eyes kept changing. When it's turning to color black, her attitudes and actions were changing too. Her smile was becoming evil and most of the time, she doesn't want to talk to anyone. Every night , Rapunzel kept having nightmares. Her friends became worried and when they told their parents about her, they didn't believe them. Everytime that they will bring their parents to Rapunzel, she's turning to normal. They don't know what to do.

One night, Merida woke up to check up on Rapunzel. She gasped when she saw that Rapunzel's bed was empty. She hurriedly went to Hiccup's bed and woke him up.

"Hiccup wake up!" she shouted.

"What is it ?" Hiccup answered immediately because he knew that there was trouble.

"It's Rapunzel! She's gone!" Merida was so worried that her hands began to shake.

Hiccup held her hands to calm her down. "Calm down Merida. We'll find her okay?" he said and looked at Merida's eyes.

Merida nodded. "What are we going to do?"

"Wake up the others first then we will think this through." hiccup said.

"Okay." 

They woke up the others except for Emma and went to their parents. They all gathered in a room and commanded the guards to look for her, every room, every corner and every houses in the kingdom. The King and Queen of Corona felt anxious about Rapunzel's disapperance. The Queen burst into tears.

"Everything's going to be alright" The King said to the Queen.

"Why didn't we believe them in the first place?" she asked and blamed herself for not taking care of her child.

"Shhhhh. We will find her." the King said and kissed her wife's forehead. 

Then one guard ran and entered the room where they were all waiting.

"Sire!" the guard said while catching his breath.

"Did you find her?" the King of Arendelle asked.

"No sire, I'm afraid not but-" the guard gave them a piece of paper with a message in it.

"What is it?" the King of Arendelle asked. They all looked at each other and became confused and worried at the same time. The King of Corona took it from the King of Arendelle's hand and read it first. The King gasped and tears fell from his eyes. He looked at the guard and furrowed his eyes.

"Gather our horses immediately." he commanded. The guard nodded and ran outside.

"What did the letter say?" The Queen of Corona asked. The King just tossed it into the air and it fell to the floor. He felt angry when he thought about, whoever did this to them. The Queen picked it up and was shocked about the message.

"No!" she responded. She ran to her husband and followed him.

The others read it as well.

"To the dark forest you will witness, How I destroyed your precious little princess."

They all went outside and stopped the chiildren from going as well.

"Stay here." Stoick said seriously.

"But-" Hiccup said but didn't continue because his father glared at him.

He had no choice but to obey his father.

" Stoick's right children. You must stay here." Mr. Dunbroch said and winked at them.

They all looked confused at Mr. DunBroch. He pointed his finger to a carriage beside them and they figured out what Mr. DunBroch meant.  The big 5 entered the carriage and went to the dark forest. A guard was the one who drove the carriage by Mr. DunBroch's order. It took them an hour before they found Rapunzel. The King and Queen hurriedly climbed down to their horses and ran to Rapunzel. Rapunzel was lying on the grass breathless while her eyes stayed open. It wasn't green anymore, it was pure black. The King and Queen cried for what had happened to their child. They were so heartbroken and the others felt miserable as well.

"The trolls" Elsa said and they were all startled that the children followed them.

"They might help." Hiccup insisted.

The King of Corona looked at the King of Arendelle and he nodded. When they reached the valley of the living rock where the trolls can be found, they asked for Pabbie (the troll king).

"She's not dead yet." he said. "She's just sleeping but she is also trapped inside." he added.

"What must we do?" the KIng of Corona asked worringly.

"I'm sorry but I do not know the cure for this. Only she can help herself from this nightmare she's having inside." the troll king explained.

The King and Queen of Corona became more worried because she might not wake up, she's too young to be in this kind of situation. But at least she wasn't dead, they thought.

 They went back to the castle feeling miserable and downhearted. They brought Rapunzel in the King and Queen of Corona's room. They commanded the guards to investigate of whoever did that king of thing to the Princess of Corona. They also decided to leave Arendelle in two days. They think that it would be better and safer for the children. They forbidded the children from visiting Rapunzel because it's too much painful to see her with those eyes. All of them didn't sleep that night because they can't, after what had happened. The Big five stayed outside the door of where Rapunzel was staying. Anna was crying and Elsa was the one comforting her. Merida tried to held back her tears but it didn't worked. She bursted into tears and Hiccup went to her and hugged her. While Jack went to the window and stared at the moon. It was full but wasn't that bright, unlike before.

He closed his eyes, breathed deeply and whispered, "Please. Save her." He clenched his fist and his brows met because of sadness. Suddenly, a hand touched his right hand. He opened his eyes and calmed himself down when he saw who it was.

"Elsa." he said in a low tone.

"Why are you clenching your fist?" she asked and let go of her hand to his.

"Because I'm angry?" he said and shrugged.

Elsa half-smiled." I know how you feel" and they both faked their smile.

Morning came and Rapunzel was still sleeping. A guard went to the King of Arendelle.

"Did you find something?" the King asked and the guard gave him a paper with a message on it, again.

He ordered to call the others for all of them to read.

To save her, you must return the child.

My precious flower that you stole that night.

To the dark forest where you find her,

You have no choice but to surrender.

If you don't then I will leave,

Your beloved daughter live in that dream.

What's it gonna be my King and Queen?
