Ch 17 - Calling Out

Raven and Rinji are sick at home as you and Rias head to the office. Xenovia is babysitting the sicklings as well as her twins. This is going to be potentially hell for everyone. Who's got it worse?

Rias saw you stressing out not hearing the news. "Hubby what's going on? Who was that?"

"The Bird. Rinji's sick."

"Oh no. I'm calling out. That's ridiculous. I would rather have my sweet little girl in the bathtub at the office. Heck I would rather have her go through my phone before I..."

"Wife! Calm down. We got work to do. Xenovia has two daughters and she's a protective mother bear. You honestly think she would let Rinji have a free for all?"

She quickly realized you were right. "I know Love. It's just, well I don't particularly care about the situation. Raven never gets sick."

"I know. Well if I put in the couch Raven can lay on it in Xenovia's room to get her space that would help. Give Rinji an air mattress. I'll make the arrangements. So Rias my beautiful wife you ready to take care of business at work and hope that this works? Worst case we can check in every couple candidates. If it's like round one we'll do it to recover from so many dumb broads."

"That's sexist."

"Rias it's not. It's women looking to date a man part of a good family. Then not having to decency to be polite, give straight answers, not act slutty, and obviously some cannot even dress right."

"You look?" Uh-oh this was a test.

"And why would I bother?"

"Good boy. Let's be off now."

You with the help of Issei put the two kids in Xenovia's apartment and you Rias took off. Teleporting to the office. Outside the door Akeno was keeping everyone in line as both of you got your pens, notepads, and other supplies together before the show started. It was very different without Raven around. A little sad and a tad lonely. Something pure and bubbly was missing. Unfortunately the show must go on.

"Akeno?" Called Rias.

Akeno opened the door. "Morning. You two ready?"

"Moment." Rias put her notepad down and walked out of the office and into the hallway. Dozens and dozens of girls lined up and numbered following the idea from last time around. "If anyone is not wearing panties please step forward."

Not thinking much of it three girls stepped forward. The problem was one was in yoga pants and the other two in dresses. Rias shook her head. "58 back in line. 62 and 81 go home. You two are done here."

"What!?"

"Huh!?"

"You expect someone from the Gremory family to marry one without class? Now go off and don't waste any of my time." Seeing this from your seat you tried so hard to hold it all in. "51 I'll see you in my office now." Rias entered as Akeno held the door for the first girl of the day. "Well (FN) two and a half down. More to go."

"First off that was hilarious." You burst out laughing. It was gut wrenching seeing her act this way. "Sorry. Second off, half?"

"Possibly short string."

"Right. Anyways welcome 51. I am the Aunt of Millicas Gremory and this is my husband (FN). How are you today?"

"Confident." She said. "I want this. It's life changing. That's what it is. I always wondered what it was like dating a Prince. Dreams come true." She smiled.

"Alright. That's good."

"Hell ya. Have a good time. Ya know? Be cooking good meals. Dancing late at night. Endless play time."

Rias you make the call.

"Got what I need. We'll call you. Next!"

"Thank you." She got up and bowed before exiting.

Rias sighed and sat back. "Why? What was your take?"

"Party girl that's not down to Earth. You calling her?" You ask.

"Didn't even give a name. No way."

"True." You watch the next one in line come in. Green hair which was unusual, a petite body, and some thigh highs matching her short dress. "Number 52. Morning."

"Morning. I'm Maggy."

"Alright Maggy tell about yourself. Who is Maggy and why are you here?"

"Well I wanted a man who is graceful and respectful. Someone who doesn't want multiple women. Or if so at least let me join in. That a problem?"

"Ten seconds and you're talking about an orgy..."

"Can't help myself. Hehe."

You sigh. "Next!"

She left in a huff. You cross her off the list and facepalm. "Something called a Prince fetish or something or they want to sex themselves into power?"

"To be fair Hubby you kissed me by accident and I slowly fell in love."

"I did it because of your personality. Not because of your power or what family you come from. I did what I felt. I felt love. And I am forever grateful for you and our daughter. Let's go number 53."

A dark hair and light eyed girl with curves sat down. "Hello everyone. I'm Jessi. Pleasure is all mine to meet you."

Rias smiled. "Thank you for a nice introduction. Tell us about yourself."

"Well, I just gotten over a previous relationship I ended a little over a year ago and I've been working hard to better myself and be happy. I don't know what my chances are at dating a Prince but I have to try to find out right? I like a solid partner emotionally to be on the same level with. I can adjust of course. I try not to be too needy and cling so much and  I know as a mate to a Prince I have duties and I am proud to own up to them and face it head on. I know he's handsome and can find any girl he wants but maybe if we have fun, laugh, and he thinks of me as worthy to a point we can get along great."

You nod. "How do you spell your name?"

"J-e-s-s-i. Jessi."

"You made it. We'll call you. Best of luck."

"My goodness thank you so much. I didn't think I had a chance." Jumping out of her seat she cheered.

"You got through stage one. Send the next one in."

"Thank Sir."

"You're welcome." You write her name in and look up. "What a way to recover from our day. Between lawn tools and our little girl sick this will be a long one."

"Tools?" Asked Rias.

"Garden tools. Hoes."

"Honey!"

"What? Homewreckers and sicklings. What do you want me to do about it?"

She glared at you. "Call in the next girl."

"Next!"

Is anyone convinced that you and Rias will have a harder time than Xenovia? Maybe it's close? We shall find out.
