I don't know how long we had galloped before Destiny slowed to a walk. My arms and legs were shaking from holding on to Destiny for so long.

I slid off Destiny's back and my legs crumpled beneath me when I hit the ground. I fell asleep before I even let go of Destiny's mane.

I awoke with her nose in my face. I was lying in some brambles and I could feel them poking into my back. I sat up with a groan. My back ached and I had a terrible headache. Mostly likely from my fall to the ground.

The sun was high in the sky signally that it was probably around noon. It was stifling in the heat and I was feeling dehydrated.

"My parents are probably worried about me" I muttered and tried swinging my leg over Destiny. No luck. I fell to the ground again.

Feeling discouraged, I tried again but this time using a rock to help me get more height to push off of. I made it on and felt a surge of pride before the world starting spinning again.

    "I hope I don't have a concussion" I mumbled into Destiny's mane.

I gripped Destiny's sides with my knees and weaved her mane through my fingers. She started walking and I wasn't even sure that it was the right direction but I trusted Destiny to lead us home.

Every step sent a jolt through me and made my headache pound even harder. I knew Destiny was trying to be gentle but every once and a while a groan would escape me and Destiny would stop and wait until I urged her on.

After a while, the trees formed a canopy over us and gave us a break from the heat. I rested my head on Destiny and trying to move in the rhythm of her walk to avoid as much pain as possible.

I must of fell asleep because the next thing I knew I saw our barn in sight. I grinned and rested my head back on Destiny.

We reached the barn and I looked up to see an ambulance and police cars surrounding the house. I was confused until Mom and Dad came running to me with a look of relief on their faces. Hannah was close behind but looked more concerned than relieved.

"We were so worried about you!" My Mom says.

The police surround us and Dad reaches out to pull me off of Destiny. I fall into his arms as I slide off.

The rest of what happened is more of a blur because everything was moving so fast or at least it seemed like it to me.

They loaded me onto a stretcher even though I assured them that I was fine. I guess it was a good thing though because as soon as I laid down the sky starting spinning.

They put me into the ambulance and my mom came with me. Dad and Hannah followed behind. I didn't pay attention to the paramedic but instead focused on my mom.

"Its ok" She said "Its ok"
