It has been a month since my concussion accident and I have finally been cleared by my doctor and that means I finally get to ride again! But I also have to wait two more weeks until I can start training Destiny. When mom caught me in the barn that day, that was my punishment.

But she said nothing about the other horses! My mind raced as I thought about what I was going to do today when I finally made it into the saddle. I slipped my boots on over my socks and put my jeans over my boots.

Daisy and Boomer trailed behind me as I burst out the front door. I happily dump dog food into the dog bowls on the porch and Daisy and Boomer gobble it up hungrily.

I practically skipped to the barn. The morning air was cool and sweet without any of that hot summer sun beating down yet.

The hinges on the barn doors creak as i swing them open and go into the tack room. I grab Silver Queens brushes and skip down to her stall. I pull her out into the aisle and begin rythmically brushing her.

When I finish I stroll back to the tack room and put away the brushes and grabbed the her western saddle off the rack and then walked back to Silver Queen.

She tenses as I hoist the saddle up and then throw it over her back. As I tighten the girth she shys away from me and therefore making it that much harder to tighten her girth. Finally, I slip the bridle over her head and lead her outside. Destiny glares at me as I pass her stall so i avert my gaze away from her.

Silver Queen tosses her head as the sunlight hits her, shes glad to be outside. I smile and then put my foot in the saddle and swing my leg over her back. She moves forward eagerly and I have to pull her back so I can rearrange my feet in the stirrups.

Daisy and Boomer come bounding down the porch steps and towards us, yipping. I give Silver queen a small kick and she lurches forward down the trail.

Within a couple minutes we pass the part of the creek where i found Destiny. We move farther along until we reach the farthest corner of the property about 5 miles away from the house. i feel completely isolated. Its only me, Silver Queen and the dogs. The sun is starting to beat down on us causing the dogs to pant and me to sweat.

Silver Queen isn't even fazed by the heat but instead moves towards the fence that seperates our property from our neighbors. She nudges the fence with her nose and sniffs it, inspecting it.

"Lets go" I murmur and neck rein her to the left and away from the fence. I give a slight squeeze with my legs and Silver Queen moves into a gallop in one fluid motion

We race over the ground with Daisy and Boomer struggling to catch us.
