The Art of You

Just a fuzzy feeling
That thuds against my heart
Just a foggy thought
As you I sculpted art

For you are my muse
That I'll paint as times of old
A canvas anew of once was
With your striking colors bold

Bashful perhaps now
As I carve your hands bare
So gentle yet firm
With a grip of loving care

Gingerly moving lips
Your face so fair and fine
Truly a sublime masterpiece
Embroider yours with mine

A new watercolor
A trade I've known before
But the medium alas has changed
Between us a sense of rapport

I'll sketch us
Esteeming a dream afar
Drawing hopes & wishes
A charcoal drawing bizarre

So with a brush
And a pencil in hand
An imagination with you
A performance too grand
