Blustering Body

Let me throw up my heart and swallow my mind
Stuff all of these hidden emotions inside
Let me crush my veins and bleed my marrow
In my new shadowed state I hallow

Hallow up my empty soul pulsating with regrets
Stifling my silent silhouettes
So pirouette inside the cavities of my lung
And whisper those sweet words that won't mutter from my tongue

Talk sweetly to my shrinking muscles and blistering skin
Perhaps the burn will chisel and destroy me from within
Cradle my fracturing bones like you held me as before
Or leave me in this self-loving state of hate I abhor
