I was all dandy, savoring my tuna sandwich with Caroline sitting next to me, chatting away with Austin. They seemed to have really hit it off.. Hmm.. I wonder if they could have something going on.

Anyway, Nick was absent today. Mia chose to sit with us upon my invitation, so I was now trying to persuade her to attend the party in between bites. She nodded throughout my whole oral essay of why she should come, but the look in her eyes told me she wouldn't be coming. It was worth a shot.

But all this was going on when someone pushed me towards the table. I snapped my head around and an angry Rachel stood behind me.

"So you've been stalking my boyfriend?!" She hissed. I was grateful that she at least didn't yell.

"What the heck are you talking about..?" My eyes narrowed.

"You were the one on Hunter's ask... He asked me and told me all about it so don't even try to defend yourself with your, as usual, pathetic excuses." Her voice was so bitter cold it could've frozen water to ice.

"Yeah? Rachel, you don't understand why I even did it.. It was to help you!"

Rachel shook her head. "I don't get it. Do you hate me or something? You don't even get me so just back off. You're so mean to me. I don't even know why?!" And she started sobbing, running off into the hallway. Cassidy and Nicole gave me a look and then they chased after her. What the friggin heck.

WAIT.

HOLD UP HOLD UP HOLD UP.

That means that friggin Hunter knows it was me. I slowly dared to turn around and face him, sitting right next to a still sulking Mike. There was Hunter, his eyes narrowed at me. But they didn't necessarily seem angry. In fact, he seemed confused. But he most definitely was not happy. Oh f*ck just my luck that he finds out. Imagine what he must be thinking, that I'm some sort of stalker who's obsessed with him, when in fact I was just trying to protect Rachel, who now hates me.

I stood up in silence, blocking the world out. I threw out my lunch and sat back down. When Caroline and everyone else got up to leave the cafeteria, so did I. But I was numb. And no one could fix that.
