"So she's coming!?" Caroline yelled through the phone so loud that I'm almost positive Nick, who was next door sulking at the window, could hear. I shut my window and swiftly closed the curtain. God, doesn't that boy have anything else to do?!

"Damn right she is!" I grinned, "So come over and we can get ready and-"

The doorbell rang downstairs.

"And Mia's already here, so get here ASAP and we can go, okay?"

"Okay"

"Bye." I quickly hung up and raced downstairs as fast as I could in my dark red dress. I wore black heels and tied my hair in an up-do, half of the curls brushing along my shoulder.

Mia stood outside in a maxi dress as blue as the sky. Her accessories were all white or silver, including her purse and shoes. Her hair was in a fishtail braid to the side.

"You look beautiful.." I breathed.

She smiled, her eyes twinkling like the diamonds on her bracelet. "Thanks! I was just about to say the same to you."

I blushed and let her in. We sat in the living room for about ten minutes and were just talking about what we thought the party would be like when Caroline knocked on the door.

"Let me in... Quickly... Uhm Jade... Nick is here.. Please help and let me in...!!!!" Her voice sounded creeped out, and when I opened the door, I knew why.

"Nick!" I knew I sounded as shocked and disgusted as I was feeling, "Get... Up."

He was on his knees like a freakin dog waiting for some command. Well, I commanded him to get his sorry butt up.

"Jade, you gotta understand..." He tried to speak and I knew I was being b*tchy but I cut him off.

"No, I don't and won't understand, at least not for a while. You've lost my trust, Nick. Enough is enough." I gently pushed Caroline inside and was about to close the door on Nick when he flashed out his phone. His lock screen was a pic of me and him. He unlocked it and his background was a collage of him and me since we were little. This was cute. But it was creepy.

A lightbulb flashes over my head.

Faking a smile, I gently say, as if speaking to a baby, "Ohkay, Nick. Your screen is real cute. I get it. And I'd love to listen to your explanation, but I have to leave right now. Maybe later? Don't worry about it, okay? Okay."

Before he gets the chance to answer, I slam the door shut and lean against it. Caroline and Mia look like their eyes might pop out. That oughtta hurt. Not as much as my heart though. I swear I'm getting a little more depressed day by day.

As if on cue, I get a phone call.

It's Mike.

But I don't pick up. Because, dare I say, he just doesn't intrigue me anymore. I'm not that boy crazy bish who gets tired of a guy after a few days, trust me. But Mike is just so different towards me. He's almost TOO sweet, and it seems fake. I need to keep my distance from that boy. Shocking, that just the other day I was singing Strong to him, flirting like the butterflies in my stomach when he was around. Now I get those butterflies around Hunter. It's unhealthy, and to be honest, pretty scary.

Whatever, though... It's okay because I think Rachel is clinging onto him like a leech. I don't know if it annoys him, but it seems to bug him a bit because when I see her dart to him at school, the smile in his hazel gray eyes fades just a little bit.

I've got to control my thoughts. And snap out of it. Which isn't so hard as Caroline snaps her black nail polished fingers at me.

"JADE JADE JADE JADE JADE JADE JADE" she goes on and on, even when I'm clearly paying attention to her, and Mia giggles. Traitor.

"Caroline Caroline Caroline Caroline.." I gasp for breath. What? It's not MY fault that her name is so long and hard to repeat over and over again. This causes both girls to burst out laughing. I try to hold it back, but I laugh as well. We're such idiots.

"Leetss gooooo.!!!" I tug on both their arms and drag them out of the house.

Off we go... Next stop: PARTAY!! :0
