Chapter 9

Lee's Pov
I had walked upstairs after having a few cookies and while I walked past that bathroom I heard elle say something that I didn't understand so I decided to check on her because she's been in there since I went downstairs.
I knock on the door. "Elle"
"Mrs Flynn" She says
"No it's lee" I tell her
"I need mrs Flynn" she says sounding very anxious
"She's loading the dryer" I tell her
"I need her now" she shouts

surprisingly I've never heard elle yell like that especially not with that tone but I guess it was an emergency. So I walked downstairs and into the laundry room.
"Hey mom" I say tapping mom
"Yes lee" she turns around from shutting the dryer
"Elle needs you" I say
"I'm gonna straighten up and I'll be right up" mom tell me
"But I think it's an emergency" I start getting mom's full attention "she's in the bathroom"
Mom looks at me oddly yet serious, she drops what's in her hand and heads upstairs and I follow once we reach the hall mom turns to me.
"Go with Noah, let me handle this" mom tells me.

I walked back to Noah's room and said to myself I didn't wanna stay out there anyway.
I sat down next to Noah and he offered to add a player and so he did and I just gamed with him.

Mrs Flynn's Pov
After sending lee away I walk to the bathroom door and knock.
"Elle" I say quietly
"Mrs Flynn" she says almost immediately
"Is everything okay in there?" I ask her
"No" she says
"Can I come in?" I ask elle
"Oh I'm not dressed" Elle tells me
"Grab a towel so I fix what's going on" I tell her

After about fifteen seconds elle gave me the heads up to come in. She was sat on the floor with a towel over her.
"I'm bleeding, out of my.. ya know" she whispers
"You can always think of me as your second mom and I should've had this talk with you sooner" I say
"what talk?" Elle asks
"Well what you're experiencing is called a period, it happens to all females and as uncomfortable and gross it may seem it's a sign you're growing up" I inform Elle and watch as her face changes
"Really. So I'm not dying" Elle says
I chuckle "of course not. I have something you'll need. I'll be right back"
I leave from the bathroom and grab a feminine product from my closet and Elle new bottoms from her things just in case she needs it.
I walk back in and hand her the items, after showing her the proper way to use it I step out waiting for her.

After about three minutes the door opens revealing an elle I've never seen before, she looks scared, in shocked and happy all at the same time.
"Are you alright?" I ask her
"Yeah I just feel weird" Elle admits putting her head down
I kneel down to her "it may feel that way but remember you can always come to me for help or anything. One last thing" I start then point to her stomach "you may get pain here but it's okay it's called cramps"
"This stuff should really come with a book" Elle says
"Well, I'm your book" I say, smiling and looking into her eyes. No more then two seconds after I spoke elle threw herself into my arms.

I took elle downstairs with me and we sat on the couch and watched some tv and ate a bowl of ice cream. Lee and Noah then came down and over to us
"Are you okay elle?" He asked her and she didn't reply
"she'll be okay" I tell him
"Why aren't you talking to us?" Noah asks
I was about to speak but elle beat me to it.

Elle's Pov
ugh I wish they would just leave me alone but I'll let them know what's wrong.
"Because" I shout "because you excluded me earlier and that upset me"
"I'm sorry elle" Noah says
"That's why you were hiding in the bathroom just then" Lee says which makes me even more mad
"What no!" I says loudly standing up "I got my freaking period okay!?" I shout then go upstairs and lock myself into the room I was staying in.

Lee's Pov
Mom gives me a stare and makes me feel guilty.
"Mom I'm so sorry I didn't know" I admit
"I know you didn't but she's a girl and sometimes you have to be more gentle physically and mentally" mom tells me
I nod "I'll go say sorry"
"No" mom starts "let her rest, do it tomorrow"
Mom cleans up their ice cream and I head upstairs to my bedroom and sit in the edge of my bed feeling the most guilt I have ever felt. I feel so bad for Elle but I'm gonna make it up to her tomorrow.
I throw myself to the middle of my bed and lie down under the covers then began to doze off.

-the next morning-
I woke up about an hour ago and about every ten minutes I walk to the hall just to see if elle woke up. We have fall outs but nothing that can't be fixed right there and then so I'm kinda feeling .. really guilty.
As I sat there waiting for the next ten minutes to pass I hear a door open and I rush to my door frame trying not to bombard her as it's early and I know she's not feeling the greatest.  Once she turns around to shut the door I walk over to her and she starts to the bathroom.

So I quickly speak before she goes in.
"Hey elle" I say getting her attention
She turns around and gives me a stare,
"Can we talk?" I ask "it's important"
She turns all the way around to face me and grab my arm and pull me into my bedroom and sat on the end of my bed.
"I'm listening" she says quietly
I sit next to her, pretty close at that and she scoots over.
"I'm really sorry for yesterday. If I knew what you were going through I would not have ignored your needs" I says to her
"So if this didn't happen to me you would?" She asks
"Definitely not but I'll be sure to treat you even more special when you're having the thing that I don't wanna say because I don't wanna upset you but you know what I mean" I say then take a breath.
As I do I look at elle and she cracks a small smile but hey any smile is good for me.
"Thank you. I really appreciate that well thought out speech" she says, making her smile more real
I open my arms for a hug, hesitate at first "hug?"
She looks at me for a brief few seconds then shrugs "sure" then she reaches to hug me and I don't hesitate to pull her in my arms.

-3 hours later-
we all ate breakfast a little bit ago then cleaned up. After we sat on the couch and watched a movie during the door bell rang, Elle got up to get a drink so she went over and got the door.
"DAD!" Elle shouts and hugs her dad

Elle's Pov
"I'm glad to see you too" dad laughs and hugs elle
"you aren't supposed to leave with out telling me" I say
"I'm sorry kiddo, it was a work call" he informs me
I look over to my right and see lee and Noah walking over
"Hey mr Evans" Noah says holding out his hand for a fist bump
"Hey mr Noah" my dad says mocking him and giving him a fist bump, Noah laughs
"Hey" Lee says
"Hey lee. Well Elle are ya ready to go?" My dad asks me
I shake my head "I don't wanna leave"
"We'll be back" he informs me "go grab your things I'll meet you in the car" he goes to the car

I head upstairs and into the bedroom I was staying in and grabbed my things and packed them up. I didn't wanna leave, I never wanna leave.
While I'm finishing up mrs Flynn walks in.
"Leaving so soon?" She says
I nod "unfortunately"
"Well I'm sure you'll be back soon. I loved having ya here but school coming right back ya know" she says
"Don't remind" I say
She chuckles and grabs my suit case lifting it up from the ground. "Here, come on I'm sure your dad's tired"
She helps me to the car after I say goodbye to Noah and lee.
She hugged me but didn't speak with my dad which was odd why wouldn't they say goodbye?
