Chapter 25

Mat's Pov
"where are you going?" Jo asked, she's my sister
"can you can please get out" I say nicely
"Mom said you have to be nice to me" she says
"I am but I'm busy so, Get Out. Now!" I say
"I'm telling" she whines "mom!" She then leaves

I roll my eyes and slam my door, gosh right year olds are annoying. I walk back over to my bed and my phone starts to ring, once I pick it up I see it's lee so I answer it.
(On the phone)
"hello" I say
"hey Mat, what's up?" Lee asks
"not much. Why, what's up with you?" I ask
"just seeing if you're gonna be busy today" he says
"Sorta .." I start
"with your girlfriend" he said
"what? no. I'm doing family stuff with my parents and sisters" I tell him
"Oh. We'll have you talked to elle?" He asks
"Not since this morning, why" I say
"we're doing family stuff to, since it's Sunday but she hasn't answered" lee tells me
"she might be sleeping, she was up late. go by her house and wake her up" I say
"will do, thanks" lee says
"yep. bye" I say then hang up.

I put my phone on the charger and start picking up my room a little so there's no complications when it's time to leave.
After about an hour of waiting I was just watching a little Netflix until it was time to leave.
My head then pops up due to a bang at my door.

"what!" I shout
"Open the door" jo shouts
"ugh" I grunt,
I get up and open the door to see her stand there with her arms cross.
"mom said come on" she says
"okay. you don't have to be loud" I tell her, while going to bed and getting my phone
"i wasn't" she says and stumps her foot down
"please. stop" I say walking to the door,
I go out and close the door and follow my little sister down the stairs.
"everyone ready?" mom asked
"Yep!" Jo says all perky
"yes mom, can we go" I say
"wait where's Joelle?" She asks
I sigh,
"maybe she's up stairs, I'll go get her" joe offers
"It's okay sweetie" mom says

My mom walks over to the stair case and yells up to my sister telling her to come down. It took some time but she finally came down.
We got in to the car, surprisingly no fighting over the front seat so I sat there. Even if we did argue I'd sit there anyways.
As we drive, mom starts up a conversation so we're more social.

"did everyone bring a jacket?" Mom asks
"I did mommy" jo says, again perky
"Josie, calm down" Joelle says to her
"I didn't do anything" jo says
"Yes mom I got a jacket" I say interrupting their little argument
"I'm sure the restaurant is a little chilly" she says
"where are we eating?" Joelle asks
"Fridays" mom responds
"Mmm" Joelle says happily "can't wait"

After I'd say about ten minutes we arrive at Friday's. We go inside and surprisingly it's not packed so we get seated pretty quickly. Mom gives us all hand sanitizer and tells us to look at the menu.
she baby's us so so much, it's embarrassing.

"what do you guys want to drink?" Mom asks us
"Fruit punch juice" jo says
"Pink lemonade" Joelle says
"Mat?" My mom said
"I'll order it myself" I say
"are you sure?" She questions and grabs my hand "I can do"
I pull my hand back "I got it mom"
"I have the boneless barbecue chicken, she have the kids French fries with mini burgers and she'll have the same thing but not kids" mom tells the waiter
"And I'll have buffalo wings with fries, thank you" I say
"Drinks?" The waiter asked
"Kids fruit punch, ice tea for me and pink lemonade for her" mom says
"Regular lemonade for me" I tell him

Mom made us play games so of course I had to play along. After a little bit of a wait our food came.
We sipped on our drinks and ate our food until we were finished. Mom paid the bill and we gathered our things to leave.

"That was a nice lunch wasn't it" mom says as we walk to the car
"Really fun" jo smiles
"I liked it mom" Joelle says
"Best one yet" I say sarcastically
"I know you're lying" she says and turns around to me,
"what" I say trying to sound shocked "not at all"
We then get in the car and head back home, since it was mid day there was traffic. My sisters fell asleep and I just looked out the window.

"So how's elle been?" My mom asks
"Pretty good" I say
"good. You should bring her over one night, I can cook you guys dinner" mom offers
"oh sure. We'll find time" I say
"Find time? What's so important in your life that you gotta check a schedule" she says
I chuckle "mom I didn't mean it like that"
she starts to laugh too "this Thursday sounds good"
"Sounds great" I smile
She then starts pointing out different cool things that the little girls would've loved.
"Oh look Joelle, there's cows over there" she says
"She's sleeping mom, Josie is too" I tell her
"Oh" she chuckles "I noticed it was a bit quiet"

We soon arrived home. Since the girls were still sleep I had to carry jo in but mom told Joelle to wake up so she did and walked inside. Mom got her purse and both our phones and met us inside.

I go to my room and watch a little tv, shorty after my phone rings and it's a video call from Elle, I answer.
"Hey" I smile
"Hey. where are you it's dark?" She questions
I chuckle and stand up turning on the lights,
"Just my room, i was watching a movie"
"Oh. I thought you'd be out that's why I waited so late to call" she says
"We got in a little bit ago. How was your day out?" I ask her
"It was nice, lee and I both missed you" she laughs
I laugh too "I definitely missed you both too"

no lie we were on the phone for about two hours, the night skies turned dark. We ended up falling asleep on each other, I woke up during the call and laughed.
"good night" I whispered to my sleeping girlfriend,
I then hang up.

I will be working on new chapters this week/end
