Chapter 22

Elle's Pov
"Boys.." I say dragging it out as I watch lee and mat tackle each other while playing football,
I'm just so glad they get along I mean I never expected this to happen. Best friend and boyfriend!

"Don't hate" lee shouts, getting up from the ground
"yeah okay" I say, mocking him
"You know you like what you see" Mat shouts turning around so his backside faces me,
I just laugh. He runs over to me and throws himself into my arms and presses his lips against mine
"I love you" he whispers
"I love you too" I smile then push him back "but you smell"
"Mm" he sticks out his tongue and rubs his armpit on me
"Ew" I say, as he gets up and goes back over to lee
"Should I beat him up elle?" Lee asks jokingly
"He's good" I laugh
Lee walks past him bumping his shoulder into mats,
"Oh okay, just checking" lee smirks

After watching them play a few games of football I was getting a little hot. Good thing we packed drinks but that wasn't even enough.
"Guys" I shout, both boys stop and look at me
"It's hot" I groan trying to sound sad
"Babe" Mat says mocking me
I tilt my head "don't mock me"
"Don't mock me" lee says
I stare them down for a good six seconds before grabbing a hand full of ice and chucking it at them. My aim was pretty good and they didn't see it coming. Watching them run away made me feel nice and cool.
"Aye" I hear one of them shout, I just laugh
Once they come back over out of breath and laughing they lay on the grass, I smile at the sight and lay back along with them.

A few hours has passed, lee headed home. He going out of town for a week so we said our goodbyes and greeted his mom.
After leaving we got into Mat"s car,
"You okay?" He asks looking over at me
"I'm good" I say cracking a smile
"You look hot" he says
I just smile, not sure which hot he means.
"You aren't talkative. Sleepy?" He asks
"No" I say shaking my head knowing that I am.
Mat starts driving and I slowly start falling asleep, half way awake and stopped and a stop light I can see he's looking at me, I turn and flutter open my eyes.
"Not sleepy huh?" He says
"Hush" I smile and lay my head back.

Mat's Pov
After a few minutes of a drive we arrived at our destination, my house. I figured since it's around four ish we could just hang here.
I got out and went around to the passenger side and opened up the door, lightly tapping Elle.
"We're here" I say,
Her eyes shoot open "it's just me" I continue
We walk into the house and she sits on the couch,
"I'm hungry , are you?" I ask
"yeah" she says followed by a yawn
"Come here" I say as I walk into the kitchen,
She gets up and follows.
"Hmm" I mumble then look at her
She looks back at me, "what are you looking for?"
"A snack" I say
She smirks and shakes her head,
"I found it though" i say, shrugging then pulling her close to my chest.

After a little romantic exchange we found ourselves enjoying a bag of movie theater popcorn on the couch, watching 'the Addams family'.
About ten minutes in my mom walks in the door,
"Hi mom" I say quickly
"Hey" she smiles
"Hello" Elle says, my mom smiles
"What ya guys doing?" My mom asks
"Just watching a movie" I respond
"boring" she laughs "go out and have some fun"
"Mom" I chuckle "it's Monday there's no fun on Monday"
"we had fun early though" Elle adds
"Like what?" She asks
I chime in before Elle does "like play at the park"
"Play?" Mom questions
"We hung out mom, enough with the interrogation" I say
"Fine" She says then walks over and grabs my cheeks, trying to embarrass me
"Mommmm" I say pulling away,
"Well you two have a good time, I'll be upstairs" she says then leaves.

I look over at elle who's face is red and covered in a big smile, I nudge her.
"It's not funny" I say
"It is to me" she smiles
"Do you wanna spend the night here?" I ask changing the subject since it's getting late
"I would love too but-" she says
"But what?" I say
"My dad, I don't know if he'll allow it" she sighs
"Well I'll at least drive you home" I say
~
We go outside after I tell my mom where I'll be headed, I open the door for Elle then close it then get in on my side. I start the car and we drive off.
"Hey" Elle says suddenly
"Yeah?" I question, concerned
"How about we go out someday this week. Your mom's right we don't go out much" Elle suggest
I nod in agreement "what ever you wanna do, I wanna do"
I must really be in love ..
