Chapter 47

Mat's POV
~ 4 months later ~

I found my new home. Not nearly as big as the one I shared with Elle but doable and fits my needs.
We didn't go through any custody battle we just split the children up some of the time.

This week was the week the big kids came over, Josie, Zhavia and Justin but we decided for the next week or so they'd all stay with me.

Elle's Pov

"I bet this is the most quiet your house has been" Noah says
I smile and nod "fact"
he leans over and kisses me "are you sure you're okay with them being away for so long?"
I nod "of course i miss them but it's best they spend time with their father so they don't think ok trying to replace him"
"I'd never take his place" Noah starts
"But I'll always help"
I smile and nudge his shoulder "get dressed"

We sat in bed for a little bit just admiring each other and enjoying the company.
Now it's about 1:30 in the afternoon and we've got a date planned, a double date. Nia and Lee will be joining us and before you ask Lee is totally okay with me dating his brother now, we're older.

I got in the shower first then got dressed after while Noah got in the shower.
Once we were ready we headed out.

"still don't know where we're going?" I ask
"Nope. Lee wouldn't tell me" Noah responds
"He's full of tricks" I laugh, he laughs as well
shorty after we arrive and Lee's home.

"Hey how are you guys" I hug Nia
She hugs me back "good. You look great, we've missed you"
"we've missed you" i say back
we all hug and then go inside.
"Leeeee" i say as we sit
"Ms Evans" he says
I roll my eyes "where are we going?"
"It's a surprise" Lee answers
Nia laughs "you'll love it. Don't worry"
"I'm gonna grab my wallet and we'll head out" Lee says then leaves.

Lee returned and we headed out. We took Noah's truck and Lee drove. The boys up front and the girls in the back, just like old times.

The ride was about 45 minutes. After a while I figured it was gonna be somewhere interesting.
Once we arrived my face lit up and i was all smiles.

"Dave and busters" i shout laughing
"I told you you'll love it" Nia says
"Let's get to it" Lee says
we all go in and fill up our game cards.
"I think we're gonna hit up basketball" Noah says
"We're gonna do ..." i start then look at Nia
"Rainbow" we say in sync
Lee laughs "good luck with that"
"Oh hush" Nia says
"I think you guys are the best players at that game" Noah says
"Thanks babe" I say

me and Nia leave the guys and they go their separate ways.
The game was empty which was great. We both sat down, picking up our guns and swiped our cards.
It started and we were in the zone killing these zombie looking things.

best night ever?
