Chapter 48

Noah's Pov

I pull out and admire Elle's beauty as she pants and smiles at me. She gets up from the bed and throws on a robe hanging from my closet.

"I'm hungry after all that" she admits
I chuckle "you're always hungry"
"not-uh" she laughs
I get up and take her hand,
"Let's get some food"
We go downstairs into my kitchen and look at everything that's in there thanks to Elle because this would not be here with out her.

She decides on a bagel and strawberry cream cheese, I get a bagel but with plain cream cheese on one half and butter on the other.

I bite into mine "mm"
"mines better" she says holding it up to me
I shake my head "strawberry cream cheese is disgusting"
she laughs "whatever"
We continue to eat, a little chatter here and there.
I decided to break what little silence there was and have a 'serious' talk with Elle.

"Elle" I say seconds after swallowing my bite.
"hm?" She says looking up from her plate
"I wanted to talk to you about something" i start
"okay" she says
"It's kinda serious" I admit
"Noah" she starts then grabs my hand "what's wrong?"
I shake my head and smile just to reassure her everything is well.
"I was just thinking about me, you and umm"
"and what?" she asks
"and a baby" i say.
Her eyes widen. Did I say the wrong thing?

"A baby?" she says
I nod "a baby"
"I'd absolutely love to have a baby with you Noah" she starts
"really" i perk up
"but" she goes on
"but?" I question
"But now doesn't feel like the best time for me. I'm really sorry" she pleads
I pull her chair close to me "don't be sorry"
she smiles.
"I'm ready when you're ready even if it's in the far future. I can wait" i say

     
   ~ 1 week later ~

"Kenzie" I call out to her "come back here"
she laughs and runs away "come get me"
Joy shouts "kenz stop!"
she then stops, drops the picture frame .. luckily on the carpet and starts to cry.
"Oh no. No no don't cry" I say as I kneel down and pull her into a hug.
"What happened?" Josiah says as he walks in, rubbing his eyes and holding his blanket.
"Sorry did we wake you bud" i say
"Kenzie is being bad to uncle Noah" joy tells him
"that's not very nice Kenzie" Josiah says
"It's alright guys. I'll handle it" i tell the twins

I stand up and hold Kenzie's hand taking her into the kids room and sitting her on the bed.
We have a little talk about what's right and what's wrong. She agrees with me to sit in her bed for half an hour as long as the door stays open. It's a deal!

Kenzie eventually fell asleep, joy joined her as she started nodding off while playing with her dolls.
Josiah climbed up on the coach with me and snuggled into my arms.
I dozed off for a little but I was awaken by the sound of keys.

"My handsome men" Elle says coming over to the couch.
I sit up a little and laugh "hey babe"
She pecks my lips "how was things?"
"Chaotic at first but I got it under control" I say
"I can see that" she says looking around at the ground full of barbies and lego's
"Sorry I'll get that up" i say
"No no" she chuckles "I've got it. Get some rest, you've earned it"
