Keith POV

I don't know where I'm going, but I know I have to get out of here. I quickly run to my locker, grabbing my stuff, and run out the front entrance. I run to my car, getting in and starting the car before immediately speeding off, away from the school.

I take deep breaths, trying to process everything. I had just met my soulmate. And I ran away! Why am I such a screw up? I look into the mirror of the car, just for a glance. I gasp, looking at my reflection. My eyes, instead of their usual grey, had turned an amethyst color. But that wasn't what really caught my attention. There, on my left cheek, was a patch of blue. I quickly move my eyes away, realizing I was close to my house. After a few seconds I pull into the driveway.

I leave my bag in the car, not really caring. I go to the door and open it, seeing it was not locked. Meaning Shiro is home. I walk in and glance at my phone, seeing it was just barely 11. I hear foot steps walking toward me, and instead of seeing Shiro, I see Adam. He looks at me and gasps.

"Um, Shiro?" He calls out.

"Who's there?" Shiro asks, stepping behind Adam, and sees me. He gasps as well.

Adam walks over to me, and hugs me, surprising me. But, what surprised me even more was that I hugged back, realizing I really needed that hug. I also notice I had started crying, and was now sobbing into Adams shoulder. I feel a second pair of arms around me, probably Shiro. They pull away, and Shiro puts his hands on my face, cupping it slightly. He looks at me sternly, clearly angered. "What did they do? Did they reject you?"

My eyes widen. "What? No! No nonononono. I just- I- well-" I sigh, trying to think of the right words. I take a deep breath and close my eyes. I open my eyes and look into Shiro's, "I ran out."

I guess it was their turn to be surprised. Shiro pulls away. "You what?"

"I kinda, well, didn't know how to handle it, so I just, uh, ran out." I stutter.

Shiro seems to have found a better place to focus his anger. "あなたは馬鹿です!あなたはそのようなことをする前にあなたは思いましたか?おそらくそうではありません!これが何につながる可能性があるのか分かりませんか?馬鹿-" (Anata wa bakadesu! Anata wa sono yōna koto o suru mae ni anata wa omoimashita ka? Osoraku sōde wa arimasen! Kore ga nani ni tsunagaru kanōsei ga aru no ka wakarimasen ka? Baka -)

"Takashi!" Adam slaps Shiro on the back of his head.

Shiro winces. "Ow. What the fuck was that for?" he asks, rubbing the back of his head.

Adam looks a little pissed as well. "Stop yelling!  And watch your mouth!"

I try to keep it in, but a little laugh escapes my mouth. I quickly cover my mouth, hoping no one heard. It seems to have worked, but probably because they were staring at each other. It looked like they were having an argument with their eyes, and if I'm being honest I am quite scared. The air is really tense, just a silence as the two share a heated glare. Shiro gives up first, sighing and closing his eyes. Adam giggles and winks at me. I smile at him and mouth a silent thank you. Shiro turns to me and glares slightly before letting out a breathless laugh. He ruffles my hair and puts his arm around my shoulder, lightly setting his head on mine.

"Sorry, Keith. Don't know why I got so mad."

I put an arm around his waist, relaxing into the embrace. "It's okay. You were right, though. I did screw up. Massively." Both Shiro and Adam chuckle.

Adam looks down at me, smiling. Shiro pulls away, looking down at me as well. They're both a few inches taller than me,  Adam was only about two inches taller, with Shiro being taller than Adam by a few inches. But it is really intimidating having two people look at you, silently studying.
