"You end up here too much, for my liking." Dorcas said, as she helped Iris out of her bed in the Hospital Wing. "Quidditch, pranks with the Marauders, dueling with people in the middle of the corridor... It's a surprise to me that you haven't been expelled yet."
"Yeah." Iris nodded, before flinching a bit as the gash on her stomach complained with the sudden pressure it felt. "I don't know how I'm here either, mum."
Dorcas scoffed, as she moved to help Iris stand. At that, Camilla laughed and got up from her seat on the chair beside Iris' bed. She also got up and placed a comforting hand on her best friend's back.
"Anyway... It's good to know you're okay." She said and Iris smiled.
"She's not okay just yet." Madam Promfrey's voice said, as she reappeared in front of them. "But since it's your last day at school, I can't really keep her here. But what I can do is give you this. It's an ointment. It'll help the scars heal."
"Thank you a lot, Madam Pomfrey." Iris smiled, as she took the ointment from the nurse.
"It's not a problem, Miss Evans." She smiled back, turning around to organize all the remedies in their rightful place in the shelf. "But I do think you should listen more to Miss Meadowes and come by a little less often."
The three girls laughed and Iris shrugged.
"I promise I'll try, Madam Pomfrey."
The nurse turned to face her as she left the Hospital Wing with her two best friends.
"That's enough for me."
Iris was walking alone and without limping, so Dorcas and Camilla were by her right side, hand in hand as they made her way toward the exit of the Castle.
"Where are we going?" Iris asked. "What about my stuff?"
"During that week you stayed at the Hospital Wing I took the liberty of packing all your stuff." Dorcas explained. "And we are skipping lunch to go to the Station accompanied by Professor Sprout because she and Professor Dumbledore thought it was better for you not to make a scene in the last day of school and stuff."
"I see." Iris nodded, thankful that her Professors spared her from having to face, the Marauders, Severus and worst – Lily. Her heart leaped at the thought of her sister. "I bet there are rumors going around."
"There are." Camilla nodded. "We said you and Severus were having one of your usual bickers and a hex went very wrong."
"People believed it?"
"Lily did, if that's what you want to know." Dorcas said. "She's not even looking at Severus, anymore."
"Well..."
"Don't feel guilty." Camilla interrupted Iris. "If you ask me, it's better like that."
Iris smiled at her, happy for her support and when she realized, she was already out of the school grounds. She looked ahead and noticed Professor Sprout, with her usual calm aura, standing a few feet away from them. She smiled.
"Ladies." She nodded. "How are you feeling, Miss Evans?"
"As new." The girl smiled back.
"Good." She beamed. "Shall we go, then?"

Iris hadn't even realized when the Train had started moving, but she could tell that, by now, she was already far away from the Castle. She was laughing at one of Camilla's jokes, when there was a knock on the door of their compartment.
