ONE SHOT
•••Peter knew what day it was. It was that time of year again, that certain day Peter didn't truly enjoy at all. That certain day of June he always hated growing up as a kid. It was Father's Day, and it was a day Peter had no idea what to do on this day. Most of the students went home and the mansion was mostly empty, since everyone was out spending time with their fathers, and for the students who were abandoned or families died, well let's just say it felt a little depressing here at the school for them.
Peter wanted nothing more then to tell Erik he was his son, but he was sure Erik was sad enough thinking about his daughter, Nina on this day. Sure Peter had a loving mother growing up and he always had an awesome twin sister he was very close to, but he always wondered what it would be like having a father.
Growing up while being the only boy in the house was an interesting experience. But Surprisingly he didn't have much of a problem growing up without a father. His mom could teach him everything he needed to know back then like walking, swimming, riding a bike, driving a car. Sure it was tricky learning how to shave at first by he figured it out in the end after a couple tries.
Peter sat on his bed with Jean, Kurt and Ororo. Scott was visiting his parents since it was Father's Day. Jean on the other hand, her parents were dead, died in a horrible car crash. Ororo told him, her parents weren't around much and she practically lived on the streets growing up. And Kurt he wasn't exactly sure who his parents were yet. He lived with foster parents growing up who were in charge of the circus. So that's interesting.
"How about today Peter?", Jean spoke breaking the long silence of lying around lazy and eating snacks the four friends were sharing. "Is today a good day to tell him?", Jean teased. Peter rolled onto his back and looked at Jean sitting on the floor upside down from his view. "No, today's not gonna be the day I tell him.", Peter answered.
"Why not? It's Father's Day. It seems like a perfect day to talk to Magneto about your relation with him." Ororo explained, sitting up on the end of the bed beside me.
"Why not?", Peter repeated Ororo's question. "I'll tell you why, because my dad is probably still mourning over his wife and daughter's death."
"Okay, well you should still try and spend some time with him.", Kurt suggested lying on the ground beside Jean. "Exactly, Kurt.", Ororo let out as Kurt teleports beside her to high five each other.
"Fine.", Peter answered, sitting upright. "I'll spend the whole day with my father, Erik."
"Let me get this straight. You're going to spend this whole Father's Day with Erik but you're not even going to tell him you're his son?", Jean asked. "If that makes any sense."
