(Italics mean a flashback)
•••Peter had an immune system unlike anyone else's. His immune system was fast enough that it broke down anything harmful before his body even knew it was there. Which meant that Peter rarely ever got sick. He simply thought that germs couldn't catch up to him at his speed. Peter awoke the next day with as stuffed nose and dry throat. He felt light headed when he rose up from his bed. So, he flopped back down to the comfortable surface. He moaned at the soreness he felt.
He let out a heavy cough. 'What is wrong with me?' Peter asked himself. He laid sprawled out on his bed. The thought stirred up in his mind. What if he was sick? Like actually sick. Peter could barely remember the last time that he was sick. He couldn't go to training like this but on the other hand, he couldn't just completely skip training either. So he made his choice.
Peter got dressed and went to the danger room even though he felt like total crap. When the exercise started he tried to use his speed to run. Instead he tripped over his feet and fell straight onto the floor. He tried to use his mutation again but he couldn't understand why it wasn't working. Did he lose his super-speed?
Peter started to sneeze in his arm. Since he felt to weak to get up off the ground, he still sat there. The team watched from afar. "Peter, Are you alright?", Raven asked rushing over.
Peter felt his eyes getting itchy. He coughed again before answering. "My powers aren't working.", he simply breathed out."Yeah, I saw that." Raven could still replay the speedster fall in her mind. "How do you feel?" She noticed the large amount of coughing and sneezing. "I feel fine." Peter lied. He tried to hold back a sneeze but that only made the sneeze stronger.
Raven took a long look at the mutant boy sitting on the danger room floor. "You don't look fine.", she answered. "I think you're sick. You should go back to bed and get some rest."
Peter didn't want to go back to bed, he wanted to stay and train. Peter didn't want to believe that the germs and viruses had caught up to him. "Noooo!", Peter whined. "Really I am find." Peter tried to stand back up as he dropped back down. "Peter, just listen. You are sick and you need your rest." She watched his battle against himself.
Raven helped Peter to the sidelines of the room. He sat and watched as his teammates started to fight and use their awesome powers. He looked down at his feet. "Stupid powers.", he mumbled. "Why don't you just work."

Peter returned back to his room and uncomfortably laid back down on his bed. He nose was stuffed and he felt like he was baking from heatstroke. He heard the door creak open and he got a chill. He looked up to see Erik. Peter moaned to himself, "Why is he always the one to show up when I have a problem.", he whispered to himself. Peter started to cough from words. "What do you want?", Peter asked.
