Stiles Stilinski was bored.
He was capital B-O-R-E-D.
The pack was having a meeting at Derek's loft about fighting strategies, and controlling their emotions so that none of their abilities hypothetically went haywire during a hypothetical fight. So, obviously, Stiles decided he was gonna snoop through all of Derek's creepy supernatural knick-knacks and family heirlooms since he had no abilities he had to learn to control.
What he didn't count on, however, was knocking over an old vase and releasing a centuries-old king.
NOTES:

- Neb is actually King Nebuchadnezzar II of ancient Babylon
- there can be a love interest if you want, but Neb has to return to his own time, or else all of history will be screwed up
