Cameron could see ghosts ever since she was little. Always talking to them, listening to their stories, her parents thought she just had an active imagination.
When she realized it wasn't a normal thing, she only talked to them in private. It was for the best, otherwise she would end up in Eichen House. It was fine, ghosts were ghosts, she didn't actually know them.
At least, that was until Allison Argent showed up. A junior she didn't talk to but took plenty notice of. Being the only one Allison could talk to, Cameron would respond whenever. Friends, that's how she would keep it.
After all, you can't be in love with a ghost.
NOTES:
— Cameron is not friends with the rest of the gang
— Cameron and Allison do fall in love but Allison realizes she can't do this to Cameron and kinda lets her go and leaves so Cameron can live her life. Cameron is very heart broken about this and she should actually go to Scott and explain everything and then just a heart breaking but cute crying and comforting scene
— Allison and Cameron should become friends
— Allison wants Cameron to talk to her friends for her but Cameron always refuses
— Cameron can talk to other ghosts but she doesn't actually like talking to ghosts
— Cameron will never become part of the group but after Allison leaves and stuff, she does have a sibling type friendship with Scott
— Cameron loves travelling and wants to be a photographer to kinda show people the world from a new point of view
