Soulmates was a term used rather loosely in the modern age. One could meet a person, go on a few above average dates, and a month later proclaim the person in question as their soulmate. But, that wasn't what soulmates really were, whatsoever. A soulmate was someone that held half of your soul, forever connecting them to you through the decades, centuries, millennia. Damion Frenier believed in soulmates with his entire being due to him being able to see red strings that tethered people together with love. And when he met Allison Argent, he knew that they were meant to be, but unluckily for him, Allison has already found her soulmate in Scott McCall.
