Newt Peralta wasn't the most stable of guys mental health wise. He had high highs, but eventually those highs would turn into low lows. He was once a pretty popular kid in middle school, with lots of friends, and people always wanting to be around him because of his high energy and witty humor, but once his mental health started declining, so did his number of friends. Eventually he was left with only two true friends who stuck by him through the good and bad days; their names were Stiles Stilinski and Scott McCall.
When things start getting worse than ever and Newt starts to find no meaning to life, Stiles assigns himself the task of making sure the boy holds on long enough to see the light once again. But that task proves to be harder than Stiles originally thought when Scott's furry little problem gets added on top of it.
NOTES:
- so Newt is severely depressed, and he refuses to go to the doctors to get prescribed with depression medication
- Stiles is bisexual in this and has always been in love with both Newt and Lydia, but has never told anyone but scott his feelings about newt or that he's not straight in general
- Newt has really dark thoughts so this isn't gonna be a light, fluffy fic, it's gotta be dark and you should feel comfortable writing that
