Not many people can say that they have the chance to start their life again.

I am one of the lucky ones.

Katarina’s POV

“Last name?” the husky lady behind the admission desk called without even looking up at me from her computer.

“Sierra”

“First name?”

“Katarina”

“You’re Katarina Sierra?” she asks, this time looking at me

“Uh-yes?” I ask somewhat unsure of myself. What the hell was wrong with me?

“I’ve heard a lot about you… I didn’t expect… well, you” she said, not bothering to hide her disappointment.

“Okay…” I responded shyly “Could you please tell me where to go?”

“Yes, first class is Introduction into the world in room B13. That’s down the hall and to your left” she replied coldly
“Thanks”

“Here are the books that are required for this class,” she said flatly standing up to hand me a pile of books that looked stories high.

I took the books from her, dying a little under the weight of them.

“Thanks” I said, my voice muffled by the books that were directly in front of my face.

I walked out of the small room that I had just walked into a few minutes ago, struggling to open the door due to the pile of heavy books that I had to carry.

I started to walk down the long hall in the direction that the husky lady had told me to go.

“Miss Sierra!” called the same flat voice

As I turned, I crashed into something hard. My books went flying before they slid across the smooth linoleum floors. Scattered.

“What the hell! Fuck, look where you are going dumb ass,” growled a man

I looked up from my feet ready to defend my actions but my tongue twisted as soon as I looked it… at him.

He was beyond gorgeous.

He was model built; crystal blue eyes, blonde hair and his muscles, covered in tattoos peaked out from under his tight black shirt. My eyes rested on his lip ring, and I soon found myself licking my lips at the sight.

As soon as I came to my senses, I felt anger.
“Don’t fucking swear at me you dick!” I yelled back

The look of surprise was evident on his face.

I smirked. That’s right bitch.

“Don’t you know who I am?” he said stepping closer to me

“I don’t give a rat’s ass” I retorted, stepping away from him to collect all my books.

“You should,” he growled

“Well I don’t” I replied calmly, picking up the last of my books “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to get to class” I continued before walking away

Just to be a smart ass, I turned back around to see the ignorant son of a gun who had started walk in the opposite direction.

“Hey!” I called out to the dickhead stranger who was already halfway down the hall.

He turned around slowly, glaring at me in the process

“What the fuck do you want now?” he yelled

“Nothing” I said grinning “Have a fucking fabulous day asshole” I continued.

I didn’t wait for his response. I spun on my heel and walked towards my first class, feeling damn proud of myself.

Luke’s POV

What a fucking bitch.

No one spoke to a Hemmings like that. Absolutely no one.

That dumb bitch bumped into me!

The morning was not off to a great start. First my car wouldn’t start up, the school principal had asked to see me and now this demon of a chick bumps into me?

What’s next?

I walked down the familiar hall towards the principal’s office.

“Hey Mrs V” I said winking at the old lady seated at the desk in front of principal Gallagher’s office.

“Surprise, surprise mister Hemmings. I didn’t expect to see you back so soon” she replied with sarcasm

“Aw come on Valerie, no need to be rude,” I said laughing, “can you tell me what I’m in for this time?”  I added

“Actually, I cant Luke. He didn’t tell me this time” she replied, her playful tone transformed into one of curiosity and worry

“Must be serious then, huh?”

“Don’t worry darling, it’ll be okay,” she said, struggling to sound comforting

Gallagher’s office door swung open.

“I’m ready for you now Mr. Hemmings,” he said sternly.

Fuck.

I was in for a long lecture.

“Take a seat Luke” Gallagher instructed me

“What is this about Gallagher? I have class now” I said sounding frustrated

He sighed. “Luke, what are your goals beyond university?”

“Film. I want to be a director,” I answered matter-of-factly

“Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is not going to happen. Not at this rate”

“What do you mean?” I questioned, my anger rising

“You are failing your course. You don’t attend lectures and you barely finish assignments. How do you plan to succeed if you don’t try?”

“I hate the theory stuff Gallagher, it bores me so I don’t go” I said rising out of my chair

“Sit down now Mr. Hemmings. I have something further to discuss with you”

I listened to him and sat down.

“If you don’t pass this semesters work, you will be withdrawn from the course and will subsequently face expulsion”

“You’re shitting me right?” I screamed at the man who held my future in his fucking hands

“I assure you Mr. Hemmings, this is no joke” he replied shaking his head

“Your right. It’s not a joke. Its fucking bullshit” I screamed before storming out of the pricks office.

I didn't need this. Not now.

I walked directly towards the west wing of Everton, ready to rip into Professor Young.

I knew he was behind all of this.

He's always hated me.

With good reason, my subconscious told me.

I stopped walking and leaned against the wall.

I needed a cigarette badly.

I pulled out my phone and checked the time. 10:23 a.m. I had seven minutes before class started.

Not that I cared about being late anyway.

You can't screw up this time, my subconscious warned

Fuck it.

I started walking away from west wing, towards Stoners Square.

I needed to take the edge off before I could begin anything today.
