Boss!Jinho X Reader

"Shit" You said under your breath. "My first day of work and I'm gonna to be late."

Running and heels don't mix well together, so the situation you were in wouldn't be considered ideal.

Instead of waking up on time to the alarm you had set, you kept pressing snooze only to realize that, yes, today was in fact the day you've not only been waiting for forever, but you'd also been dreading.

See, you weren't hired by the Big Boss himself. No, the secretary, Yang Hongseok, is the one who hired you. Apparently, each department of this large corporation, called Cube Corps, is run by an extremely attractive male. There have been rumors saying that the CEO is the most attractive one of the bunch, but you being the nervous wreck you are didn't want to think about being in actual contact with him.

You weren't too good with dealing with the male species. Every relationship you had became a flop after a maximum time of 2 months if you were lucky.

Finally, running into the entryway of the building, you pause for a breath. "2 minutes to spare. Whew." You ran your hands over your clothes to smoothen out any wrinkles that may have formed while running and made sure your hair was still in its ponytail. Luckily, your new cubicle was only on the second floor, so you made it up there with a few seconds left.

"Goodmorning, Ms. (L/N). I see you made it in one piece." You turned and flashed the kind secretary a smile. "Good morning, Mr. Yang. What's on the schedule for today?"

"Well, to find out which department would best suit you, for the next few days you're going to spend time with each department head to see how you do. Today, we're going to start you off at the top of the chain."

You gulped, knowing what was coming.

"Our owner and CEO, Jo Jinho."

"Come in." You hear a smooth and sultry voice say from the other side of the door. Without knocking, he knew someone was there and that alone was intimidating for you. You forced down whatever was holding you back down your throat, heaving one last sigh of nervousness before finally turning the handle, and entering the Lair of the Beast.

"Good morning, My name is L/N F/N. It's a pleasure to meet you." You greeted, bowing slightly to him with your hands folded in front of you. His stoic demeanor cracked and a smile peaked through. Eyes closed, teeth shining through his pink lips. "A pleasure it is, darling. Welcome to Cube Corps. I'm sure you know who I am so I'll skip that introduction." 

He rose from his seat, and you held back a giggle as you realized that this man, who is seen to the public as scary, is nothing more than a small child-like man. He noticed the mood change, and looked up at you, not much taller than him. His eyes met yours and smirked. Walking closer until he's only a breath away. "Don't think that because I'm short, that means that I can't get the job done. I can, darling. Quite thoroughly, as you'll soon find out." 

At the suggestive comment, your jaw drops. "And what, exactly, do you think I should do with information like this?" You challenged. "Whatever you like. I just mean that there are a lot of people out there that think height is a factor in ones success. I'm very good at what I do."

He stops, turns towards away from you, and continues. "Now, today you're stuck here with me. What you'll be doing if you start working in my part of the office is simple." 

"You'll basically just follow me around wherever I go. I want coffee? You get it. I want certain data sheets and payroll reports from different departments? You fetch them for me." He turns back around towards you, mood changing. Slowly, he makes his way to the chair you're sitting in, already bent to your face.

"And, I'm going to be needing you to be available for me at all times. Morning, Noon, Midnight. If I call you, you answer your phone. If I have business meetings, you're to attend, pen and notebook in hand ready to take note of what's said. Is that clear?" 

Processing the information, you nod once. "Fantastic." He grins, that smile of his giving your heart and brain something to fight about later. You knew this man was going to be a bit of trouble, but what you weren't prepared for, was that he'd be this straightforward. 

"Now, all I ask is it be kept strictly business. I can't have you falling in love with me." He loosens his tie, and looks at his desk clock. "Hmm, I have a meeting in 20 minutes on the 5th floor. Let's just see if you're capable enough to be at my side."

Boy, was this not what you signed up for.
