I'm not sure I personally like this poem, so please do tell me what you think. It's about a lovely performance given by my two year old cousin, featuring "the water cooler song" that she wrote herself.

She needs her stage to to sing and dance.

As well as a toy guitar.

Then she can enter the musical trance.

That every singer must.

She climbs upon a plastic stool, microphone in hand.

And she begins to sing her song without music or a band.

The song begins and the people clap.

It goes a little like this...

"Water cooler,"

"I touched the water cooler..."

She sings arms open wide.

"I touched the water cooler and my mommy put me in time out."

The people in the audience thought they would have to bide

Their time listening to her song

But that in fact was not the case

It actually was like a race

To get the cameras out in time.

The little hands that wrote the song soak up all the applause.

Her mother says it's time for bed so little hands must go

She runs up the stairs and into bed, no time for any show.
