~*~ Your POV ~*~

Dawn breaks, filling my room with  a warm orange glow. I feel my exhaustion all the way to my bones, but sleep won't come. Not now, not after everything. But the daylight makes me feel better.

Barry's hand finds mine. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was trying to protect you."

"From something like last night?" I respond, my voice void of emotion. Emotions took energy and I had none.

"Yes," his voice was full of remorse amd concern.

"I understand, but that doesn't mean you are forgiven. Not yet anyway. A relationship is built on trust, communication and respect. Two of those you grossly violated."

"I understand."

"Barry, I love you, and I want to make this work. Why? I don't know. I nearly died, but you saved me. Its going to take work to earn that trust back, but if you communicate more openly with me and you don't hide things, then we may have a chance to move past this."

He nods in agreement. "I will do whatever it takes." He pauses a moment and looks at me with a sly smile. "Plus a superhero boyfriend is kind of hot."

I can't help myself, maybe it's the exhaustion, but I find myself laughing. "You know me to well."

"I do." He starts laughing too and the tension between us breaks. "As soon as its a decent hour I'll call Cisco and Caitlin. We'll go to S.T.A.R Labs today and have you examined. Especially after last night." He motions to the objects scattered about my room.

"I am guessing they have better equipment than the hospital?"

"And more fitted to figure out what happened here last night." Barry gets up and stretches. "But first coffee!" He looks at me guiltily again.

"Something you need to share?"

"No more keeping secrets. I drink decaf. Regular coffee gives me major jitters now and messes with my speed so its just decaf."

"I know," I smile, "I needed a pick me up after a long night at work so I made some. I just figured regular gave you headaches after that, but with the speed that makes sense.  I am going to make a big breakfast-" I cut myself short as I finally clue in. "Your speed is why you eat so much."

Barry gives a sheepish grin. "You guessed it."

"You are starting to make a lot more sense." I get out of bed and stretch. "I am going to make a big breakfast for us and call Ms. Horton so she knows what is going on. You try to get a hold of Caitlin and Cisco. The sooner I am looked at the better I guess." I lean over and give Barry a big kiss. "And you're right. Having a superhero for a boyfriend is hot. Make sure you come home in that costume sometimes." I wink as I grab my robe and head to the kitchen.

Later that morning we arrive at S.T.A.R Labs.  Barry leads me down to where Cisco and Caitlin are waiting, looks of guilt are drawn across their faces .

"Hi guys," I say and give a weak smile.

"I'm so sorry!" Caitlin blurts and at the same time Cisco exclaims, "I should have told you sooner."

"It's okay guys, I understand."

Caitlin steps forward and takes my hands, "No really, we should have been honest with you. Once we got to know you we should have told you. We may have prevented last night from happening then."

"Honestly, I understand the gravitas of what is happening here. I don't know if knowing would have prevented last night or not. At this point I'm happy to be alive."
