~*~ Barry POV ~*~

I yawn and stretch feeling the stiffness in my back. Another night spent at the lab. I could go home. It's our home now, but sleeping in that big bed without her just feels wrong.

It's been just over a month since (Y/N) left with Oliver to learn how to defend herself. She's sent short messages to let me know she's okay, but I guess Oliver and his team has kept her busy.

An alarm starts blaring. I sigh. It's most likely Zoom and Walsh again. They have been a taunting me this whole month. The team hasn't been able to get a handle on them and their new location.

I get up and stretch again and hear for the cortex.

"Walsh and Zoom?" I ask as I enter the room.

"How did you know?" Cisco's voice is dripping in sarcasm. He's about as tired as them as I am.

"Alright. I'll get out there." I can't hide the exasperation from my voice. This entire month Zoom and Walsh have been popping up randomly, or seems like it. Different times of day or night. Different locations. No clear objective. Not like before. And Grodd? It's like he disappeared. I am certain that these attacks are to cover for what he is doing. Its not like Zoom to cause random havoc without a plan. He's usually so calculating.

I speed down to downtown Central City. People are fleeing in panic. Walsh is breaking into a lab. Finally something I can use. A lead hopefully. I don't see Zoom, but I know he is waiting.

"Walsh! Stop right there!" I shout to get his attention. And I do.

He turns to me, a large grin on his face. "You're early."

Good. I interrupted them.

"Whatever you're doing won't work!"

"Oh, becuase you stopped us every other time?"

He had a point.

Walsh turns and starts to tear the door to T.A.P Labs. I knew it was a trap but what else could I do? Sit there and let Walsh break in?

I run full speed at Walsh hoping that I can beat Zoom.

In less than a second I am skidding  and tumbling a few blocks away from everything.

"You'll never be faster," Zoom growls triumphantly.

I get up slowly feeling the bruises and cuts that I sustained. I know they'll heal fast, but not fast enough today.

I look over Zoom's shoulder trying to judge if I can get there in time.

"You won't make it." Blue lightening crackles as Zoom heads straight for me.

I brace for impact but it never comes.

He's only a few inches from me. Frozen in spot.

"Go!" I hear a familiar voice call out. "I can't hold him forever!"

I look around and spot a very familiar figure perched on top of a low rise office building. She's clad in black, with a God awful black mask on. Her hand is out stretched  and her face is a mask of concentration.

"GO!" She commands one last time.

I don't need to be told again.

I head back to the lab pushing myself faster and faster. I don't have much time.

"Barry! Barry!" I am suddenly aware of Cisco's voice in my ear.

"Cisco?"

"What's going on? Are you okay?"
