~*~ Your POV ~*~

The month went by incredibly fast. Each day was more brutal than the last. Each day was new lessons and I was continually pushed to my limit. I discovered a love for the bo staff. It was a light weight weapon I could easily stash in the house. Plus it worked well with my abilities. I was really hoping to be a nunchuck master, but those guys would take me a life time to master and I didn't have that long.

It is now my last week in Star City. The whole thing feels bitter sweet. I am excited to get home to Barry. My heart aches thinking about him. It's also sad knowing I am leaving soon and I have become close with everyone here, especially Felicity.

I head to the Arrowcave ready for today's lessons. As soon as I enter I notice Oliver waiting for me, hands clasped behind his back. He has a mysterious smirk I don't like. A smile like that could only mean trouble for me.

"Hi, (Y/N)," Oliver says with a slyness to his voice. Dam it, I am in trouble.

"Hi," I reply with a tentative tone. My eyes dart back to Felicity who is beaming at me and then back to Oliver.

"Are you ready for tonight?"

"Tonight? What's happening tonight?" Now I was really confused.

"You'll be hitting the streets with us."

"WHAT?!" So that's what the smile was about.

"You'll be joining the team tonight."

"No," I say firmly. "No. No. No. No. No. No. No."

"Oh yes," Oliver smiles and slides a mask across the table to me. It's nothing exciting, just a plain black mask to hide my identity.

"Thank you, but no. I'm not interested in being a vigilante on the streets. I don't want to be a hero. I just want to defend myself." My tone is apologetic. I really hope he doesn't think I have wasted his time.

"I know," Oliver's tone is reassuring. "That's why its just a mask. You've been doing great with everything you've been learning, but you need some real world experience to put it too the test. You need to know that you're not going to freeze up. Coming out tonight with us means you can make sure of this with the saftey of the teams support."

I hadn't thought of it that way. This was true. "Fine. I'll do it."

"Good. You'll be partnered with Rene. He knows to stay back with you and to get you out and to safety should anything happen."

Rene and I sparred a few times so I knew how relentless he could be. I knew he could be hot headed to. It gave me pause knowing that this was the guy who was to be partners with me on my first and only night out. I thought someone far more stable like John would have been a better choice, but who am I to question Oliver? Especially with my inexperience.

Oliver studies my face and can easily read my concerns there. "Don't worry. I spoke to Rene already. He understands."

I nod, feeling my stomach start to tie itself in knots. For better or worse I was doing this.

The others filter in and Rene nods to me. I nod back trying to look confident, but I feel like how pale I have gotten gives me away.

Felicity sits down infront of her screens and begins the brief: "This should be a relatively simple operation. The new dealer for V isn't exactly brainy and this new stuff isn't even close to what the old one was. He's operating out of an abandoned warehouse in the north glades. A lot in that area has been abandoned so it gives him quiet space to manufacture his drug without a lot of eyes. Bonus for us is that becuase it's so quiet we should have an easy time getting close."
