~*~ Your POV ~*~
"Calamity," I say thoughtfully as I consider the name. "I like it."
Cisco's face lights up like a Christmas tree. "I am so happy you do! Because I am working on a bike for you too. It's almost done. I have to just test the..." he pauses searching for a word, "harness? Harness, I guess. It's the best word I can think of. Basically I want you to be able to drive hands free and use your knees and weight to steer just like you would a horse."
"Oh. That could be cool. I won't fall off?"
"You shouldn't, but that's why I want to test the harness first."
"Right!"
Cisco turns to Barry, "And because I am amazing I figured out what that tech from TAP labs is."
Barry gives Cisco a look that says: no more dramatics just tell me.
Cisco is able to read the look. "The best I can figure is this is a Time Displacer. Hypothetically you can use this to displace or move an object or person in time. It's like the beginning of time travel. Well for people other than you."
"If Grodd got his hands on this he could change anything he wanted," Barry said, the concern evident.
"Here's what's worse. This displacer works by accessing the Speed Force."
We all look at Cisco slack jawed.
"Haven't you been trying to access the speed force for years now?" I ask Cisco.
"Yeah and I haven't figured it out. I thought the only way you could access it was if you were part of it, like Barry and Zoom."
"We have to keep this here. We can't bring it back to TAP labs. If Grodd get access to the Speed Force that could be worse than just displacing things." Caitlin chimes in.
"Agreed," Barry mutters partially lost in thought .
"What's on your mind?" I say as I gently place my hand on Barry's arm.
"I'm just thinking about what could happen if the Speed Force was mad accessible. Not everyone's intentions are good. And how did they do it? We've been working on it here for a while."
"Go ask them."
Barry looks at me like I have three heads.
"You went there as The Flash to let them know you have the device as evidence. Go back and ask them how." I say earnestly.
Caitlin gives a small laugh. "Men: never willing to ask directions."
I give a snort of laughter. I mean she's right. It never occurred to them to ask.
Cisco open his mouth to give a snappy response, but snaps it shut again.
"I guess I better suit up," Barry said.
He changes in a flash. I laugh to myself as I think of this. That joke will never get old.
He is out the door and probably at TAP labs before we blink.
Cisco looks at me with a sly smile, "Your suit is just sitting there waiting for you to try it on." He nudges me with his elbow a little.
"Fine," I sigh in fake exasperation, "I'll try the dam suit on."
I grab it off the mannequin and head out of the cortex to change. Thankfully Cisco as thought ahead as made it a front closure. Not all of us have speed powers to help 'suit up'.
I strut back in to the cortex in an exaggerated model way giving my best and most serious pout.
"How do I look?" I say in a fake high class voice. I'm having too much fun and not being serious at all.
