Chapter 6

 (Skylar's POV)

I was about to walk upstairs to find something to do until I heard the doorbell ring. I headed towards the door and opened it to see Chase standing there slightly smiling. 

"Hey"  I said smiling.

"Hey" He said flatly.

I looked at Chase with a confused look on my face. He's usually more happy looking and cheerful. 

"Come in" I spoke.

He walked in slowly with his hands in his pockets and his face hanging low. He headed towards the couch and sat down. I walked up to him and sat beside him.

"Are you alright Chase?" I asked.

He ran his hands through his hair and looked at me. 

'Skylar I have something to say" He looked at me with worried eyes.

"Sure Chase you can tell me anything" I said curiously.

He took in a deep breath and began to speak.

"Promise me you wont freak out?" He asked with a bit of worry in his voice.

"Promise" I reassured.

He nods.

"Skylar, How would you feel if you knew a vampire?" He asked.

"It would be pretty awesome, Like I said I love vampires" I stated.

He looked at me and gulped a little as if he was scared to say something.

"Ok, Well here it goes.....Skylar I'm a vampire...."He mumbled just enough for me to hear him.

I looked at him with disbelief in my eyes. I wasn't the type to start freaking out though.I mean vampires are cool and all but I'm not sure I believe that he actually is one...I mean they are just fake right? 

"Mkay...Prove to me that you are a vampire" I exclaimed.

He looked at me and opened his mouth just enough for me to see his shiny sharp fangs. I got a little closer and touched one of them. Nope definitely not fake. He looked at me as if he were waiting for me to scream.

"OMG! I'M FRIENDS WITH A VAMPIRE!" I jumped around all excited. 

Chase looked at me as if I were insane.

"Wait..You're not scared?!" He asked in shock.

"NO, THAT'S AWESOME!" I cheered.

He came up to me and gave me one of the biggest hugs.

"I was scared that you were going to freak out and then not be my friend anymore" He said shyly.

"I would never do that. But it's kinda weird because I had a dream about you being a vampire..' I spoke questionably to him.

He sighed slightly.

"That was me...I went into you're dreams and showed you I was a vampire to see what you would say when I actually told you" He rubbed the back of his head worried for my reply.

"Oh, Well that's fine I guess. But you should have just told me" I chuckled a little bit.

"Sorry for that I just didn't know what you would say" He chuckled a little also.

I smiled at him and jumped on his back. He looked at me questionably.

"To the kitchen we go, I'm hungry" I giggled.

He looked at me funny.

"Alright fair maiden, To the kitchen you will go" He flashed a smile and appeared in the kitchen in seconds.

I hopped off his back and went to the fridge to grab a pickle. I casually went to sit at the table and so did Chase.

"You wanted a pickle?" He commented.

"YES! They are delicious" I noted.

He laughed at me and spoke.

"You are one of the weirdest and shortest girls I have ever met"

I looked at him.

"I'm not weird, I'm limited edition. And that's fun-size to you, Plus i'm not that short" I announced with a cheeky smile on my face.

He shook his head and laughed.

"Chase can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Sure, What is it?" He spoke.

"Well you know how in my dream I was against a tree because of another vampire...Are there vampires like him trying to get me.." I asked with worry.

"Well...Since i've been talking to you, A mortal, They want to find you so they can take you away from me so I can go after you and they try killing me" He said slowly.

"Why would they go after you?" I asked.

"Well since I'm the most powerful vampire they want to kill me so the leader of their vampire kingdom can have the throne" He stated.

"Ohh...Chase I'm scared.." I muttered.

"Don't worry Skylar, I will protect you from them. And if you want you can live with me and my family until they leave" He asked. 

"Uhm sure, I would just have to ask my parents" I said.

He nodded.

Just then we heard a loud crash coming from upstairs. Me and Chase quickly ran up the stairs to see where the noise came from. We looked in every room until we got to the bathroom. The mirror had been smashed to pieces and there was a purple note left on the shower curtain.

I looked around the room in horror. I looked towards Chase and saw that his eyes were a dark red while he was holding the note in anger.

'What does it say?" I spoke quietly.
