Forbidden Love.

Chapter 8

I was awoken by someone shaking me lightly and calling my name quietly.

"Sky, Wake up. We're here" I fluttered my eyes open to see Chase smiling down on  me.

I looked around the room I was in and saw my bags on the floor beside the door. The room was beautiful. The walls were a shade of grey and had red rose designs along them. The bed was huge and was a bright snowy white color. Chase looked at me while I admired the room.  

"This room is beautiful" I spoke.

"Not as beautiful as you" He says with a satisfied smile.

I look down to hide the blushing.

"Aww, Don't be embarrassed I think it's cute when you blush" He says.

I blush even more and put my face in my hands. Chase moves my hands out of the way and takes his two fingers under my chin and moves my head up so i'm looking into his eyes.

"Don't be afraid to blush infront of me, I mean it is true, You are beautiful" He exclaimed.

I smile at him and kissed his cheek. He turns a slight shade of pink and all I can do is giggle.

I get up from the bed and stretch my arms and take in a breath of fresh air. It was like I was in one of those febreze commercials honestly. I hear Chase laugh.

"What?" I ask.

"Febreze commercial's, Really?" He says.

I look at him and gave a playful glare.

"You just read my mind without my permission, How rude?" I said in a kiddie voice while crossing my arms.

He laughs and picks me up over his shoulder. 

"Come on lets head downstairs to meet the family" He said.

We head down the long hallway and down the stairs and see his parents siting in the living room watching TV. As soon as they hear our footsteps they look towards our direction.

I see a lady with short black hair wearing a black and red rob and a man with spiked brown hair wearing a rob also. We walk up to them.

"Oh, Who do we have hear" His mother asks.

"Mom, Dad, This is Skylar" Chase replied.

"So this is the mortal you won't stop talking about" His mother announces smiling sweetly.

Chase looks down at his shoes blushing. "Moom" He whines.

Me and his parents laugh.

"Where are my manners. My name is Elizabeth and this is my husband David"She exclaimed.

I smiled at the both of them and shook their hands.

"Nice to meet you both" I responded.

Chase looked at me smiling at how well I was getting along with them.

"Mom would it be alright if Skylar stayed with us for a while?" He asked.

"Sure, No problem. But may I ask why?" She questions.

"The Ventrue are after her" He says with a tone of anger in his voice.

"Again with them? I thought we got rid of them" His father David replied.

"Obviously they don't understand how to stay away" Chase said to his father.

"Well we will take good care of you" David said.

"Thank you, This really means a lot. I hope I'm not being a bother" I said.

"Oh that's none sense, It''s great to have company" Elizabeth spoke.

I nodded my head and looked at Chase. He smiled towards me and intertwined our hands.

"Well me and Skylar are going to hang out, See you later" Chase waved to his parents and we left.

As we were walking back up the stairs I remembered something. I haven't called my parents yet. The moment I got out of thought I saw Chase holding up a phone and handing it to me. I thanked him and started dialing my mothers number. A few seconds later there was another voice on the other line.

"Hey" I simply spoke.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" My mom's voice yelled through the phone.

"WE HAVE BEEN WORRIED SICK ABOUT YOU!" She stated.

"Mom i'm fine. Something came up and I forgot to tell you about it" I said.

"Well where are you now?" She asked.

"I'm with one of my friends and their family and I am going to be here for awhile..." I mumbled.

I heard a deep sigh rush through the phone.

"Well it seems as if I can't do much now, But make sure to keep in contact so I know you are safe'" She said with a little bit of worry.

"I will, Promise. And don't worry everything is ok" I said calmly.

"Alright. Well I got to go do some errands so talk to you soon, Love you" She said.

"Love u too mom, Bye" I replied and the phone hung up. 

I looked towards Chase.

"She said she is alright with it but to keep in contact with her" I spoke.

Chase nodded.  

We continued up the stairs and back to the room.

When we entered the room it was getting pretty late so we decided to switch into out pajamas and then find something to do. Chase showed me where the bathroom was and I changed into my Hello Kitty pajamas. A few minutes later Chase came in with pajamas on also.

"So what do you want to do?" Chase asked.

I shrugged. 

"Uhm I'm not sure" I replied.

He looked at me with a slight grin on his face.

"SCARY MOVIE'S!" He yelled in excitement.

I laughed.

"Sure" I giggled.

"Now if you get scared you can cuddle up to me" He winked.

I blushed.

"I like the sound of that" I softly said.

He smiled hugely and put the movie in.

Half way through the movie I was cuddled up next to Chase with my head up against his chest to avoid the TV screen. I had to admit I usually don't get scared of movies but this one was frikken scary! The moment I moved my head to look at the screen a bloody figure popped out and I screamed into Chase's chest. He chuckled at my reaction and pulled me closer. Minutes later I was getting sleepy and without knowing I was about to fall asleep cuddled up in Chase. He noticed and turned off the TV and gently layed me down beside him. Both of us got comfortable and cuddled with one another.  I looked into his eyes and spoke.

"Goodnight Chase" I yawned and said.

"Goodnight beautiful" He pecked my nose and we drifted off to sleep.
