"Wait your middle name is Whitelaw?" Cecilia asked wiping happy tears from laughing away. Alex shoved her shoulder playfully with red-tainted cheeks. Cecilia winced as her other shoulder slammed into the door. "Sorry," Alex flinched as he saw the forming bruise. "If anyone asks, cars are bad places for make-out sessions," Cecilia joked even as her cheeks colored. Alex rolled his eyes with a chuckle and ran a hand over his face.

Cecilia grabbed his hand, "This is almost the same ring as the one on your necklace." He nodded pulling mentioned item from under his shirt. The difference was that this ring had small turquoise and olive-colored stone inlaid the intricate gold swirls, whereas Alex's was a plain silver band. He took it off the chain, "Put it on. We're gonna go get changed to go to a proper restaurant." Cecilia raised her eyebrows, but slipped it onto the correct finger anyway.

"Now, I am Alex DeCampi and you are my lovely fiancé, Cecilia. Okay?" Alex said like it was insanely important. Cecilia gave a small nod and a soft look crossed her face, "Hey, let's get back and change okay?" Alex nodded and took her hand, "Maybe if we're adorable enough we can get free dinner!" Cecilia grinned, "We are so gonna get arrested aren't we?" "Probably. But it'll be fun if you let it!" Alex said practically beaming.

Cecilia cracked up and wiped tears away. As they drove past a small boutique Cecilia stared longingly at a gown in the window. Alex pulled over. "What are you doing?" Cecilia inquired. "Let's go get you dolled up, cupcake," Alex said stepping out. He opened the passenger  door and took the younger's hand.

He walked in causing every woman and girl in the room to ogle him. The small black haired girl stepped in front of him. "Could you fix my girlfriend up? Special dinner," Alex asked motioning for Cecilia to take the ring off behind his back. The older women in the room just stood and glared at the young lady.

A young girl about seventeen came up, "I'll take of her for you Mister. I'm Duchess." Cecilia beamed, "I'm Cecilia." Duchess turned back to Alex, "Sorry, but you'll have to go while I do my job." Alex gave a nod and kissed Cecilia's forehead, "I'll go make a reservation. Have fun, Yank." Duchess sat Cecilia down in a chair. "I know he likes your hair so I'll just braid it, okay?" Cecilia gave a nod.

"You are gonna look gorgeous! I'll do everything myself. Gown in the window is yours, on the house," Duchess grinned setting to work.

An hour later Cecilia called Alex. "Hello?" Dean answered. "Hey, hick, I need you to pick me up." Alex laughed through the line, "Almost there." He proceeded to hang up.  Cecilia gave Duchess hers and Alex's numbers, "Call either of us if you need something. No matter what time." The girl smiled and wished her luck.

Alex pulled up in a full suit and sunglasses. He stepped out and when he got his first glance his jaw dropped, "Wow, you look lovely." The younger of the pair shoved his shoulder, "Let's just go, hickory-smoked dork." His hand instantly went to his breast pocket, "How'd you know about that?" She held her hand out for the pack, "There was an obvious bulge, you always play with your lighter, you have marks on your fingers from holding and lighting cigarettes, you can't stay in a room for more than half an hour to get 'some fresh air', and you don't think I can smell it all over you? You really think I didn't put two and two together to get 'he smokes like a chimney'?" Alex looked down, "I-I-." "Don't," Cecilia said as her expression hardened. "Let's just go okay?" Alex gave a nod before noticing her shoes, "Are you wearing Chucks?" Cecilia wiggled her toes in the shoes, "Maybe." They got into the car with significantly less tension.
