**TWO WEEKS LATER**
SHAY'S POV
Jack has had tutoring after school everyday these past two weeks, so I've spent my afternoons after school with Sam and my weekends with Jack. Sam and I have grown extremely comfortable around each other; I constantly show up at his house unannounced in sweatpants and a t-shirt and he teases me for "putting in SO much effort to look good." We usually spend our hours together watching documentaries and playing video games. I now have a higher killing spree record on Call of Duty than he does, even though Sam blames it on "luck." We know we care about each other, but our relationship is strictly platonic. No flirting. No innappropriate touching. No eye-contact lasting longer than needed.
Tomorrow, all the seniors leave for college week. I've pushed it to the back of my mind. It pains me to imagine spending an entire seven days apart from Jack. We've never spent more than a day without seeing each other since we met over a month ago at the grocery store. Every second I spend with him, the deeper and deeper I fall in love with him.
I lay on Jack's chest, my fingers lightly tracing little pictures and words on his muscular bare arms. His gaze remains on my face as he twirls my hair around his finger. We lay underneath the stars on the same white blanket and pillows as we did a month earlier.
"What am I gonna do without you for a week?" Jack says quietly.
"You'll be having fun partying and snorting cocaine off of busty girls' tits." I smile and wink at him jokingly.
He grins at me and tilts his head, "So you're okay with that?"
I hit him playfully on the chest and say, "Shut up. Don't even think about it."
He wraps his arms around my back and rubs it softly. He looks at me with a slight smile and says, "I was being serious when I said I wouldn't go if you didn't want me to."
It's not that I don't trust Jack, but picturing him being surrounded by hundreds of older and hotter college girls is daunting. A week earlier, Jack and Jack were telling me how stoked they were for college week. I nodded my head politely and faked a laugh whenever they laughed.
But Jack saw through it; he knew me too well. After JJ left, he asked me what was bothering me. I avoided the question for a while, but Jack eventually got it out of me.
"And I was being serious when I said no. Jack, you have to go. I'm not gonna hold you back." I smile softly and stroke his cheek.
He momentarily closes his eyes at my touch before reopening his eyes, "I hope you know you have nothing to worry about."
"I know."
There's a pause. Jack looks me in the eyes and touches my hair, "I love you so much."
"I love you more."
Jack shakes his head, "Impossible."
I smile at him widely and clasp my hands around his face. I press my lips to his lustfully and he entangles his fingers in my hair.

**THE NEXT DAY AFTER SCHOOL**
I hug Jack tightly, never wanting to let go. I grab a fistful of his shirt and dig my head into his chest, breathing in his sweet scent.
Sitting in the driver's seat with ray bans on, JJ groans. "Let's speed it up, lovebirds. We're gonna get stuck in traffic."
I pull away, but Jack keeps his hands wrapped around my waist. He looks at me lovingly and says, "I'll call you every night, no matter how drunk, high or fucked up I may be. I'll call you. I love you."
