Warriors: Blossomfall's Reign(Sequel to WBI)

Chapter One: Night and Stream

? POV

I followed Littlecloud, ShadowClan's medicine cat, and his apprentice, Frostpaw, as they padded out of camp to get herbs. They unknowingly led me straight to the place where they collected their catmint and tansy from. After they were gone, I collected all of the herbs that were left and carried them away to a hiding spot, my temporary den.

I had been able to get a piece of Blossomstar's fur and left it on a nearby thorn bush. ShadowClan would not be happy when they discovered that ThunderClan had stolen their precious herbs that they needed to survive leaf-bare.

Blossomstar had returned with nine lives this morning. As I secretly watched, I noticed she was acting more rude and arrogant than ever. Had leadership made her even more of a bossy, overconfident cat or was she hiding something? I suspected the last option and I was determined to find out what it was that she didn't want anyone to know. Well, other than that she sent a rogue to murder her own brother because of her greed and ambition. I knew that wouldn't go over very well with her Clan.

Did Blossomstar have a weakness? If she did, I would find it.

Blossomfall POV

I was determined not to show how confused and frightened I was. A leader with one life! That was horrible!

I set off again late at night and wound up in Night and Stream's barn.

Night looked up as I entered. "Blossomfall. What are you doing here again?"

"It's Blossomstar now." I looked at Stream, ignoring both of their confused expressions when I told them my name had changed. "Is she better?"

Night nodded. "Yes and we have you to thank for that. The herbs cured her overnight."

"Good," I said. "You know I live in a Clan. Would...would you like to come join us?"

Night looked startled. "What?"

I took a deep breath. "We have a medicine cat who heals you when you're ill and we share prey with very cat and take care of each other..."

"We'll come," Night decided.

I was surprised that he had agreed that fast. But I said nothing, just beckoned with my tail for them to follow me. I led them back to camp.

The Clan was out in the clearing as Thornclaw was just assigning cats to patrols. Questioning murmurs broke out as they spotted the rogues.

I climbed up the Highledge, but didn't use the words to summon every cat, as they were already waiting in the clearing, watching the rogues with curious stares. "I found these two rogues on our territory, and they told me they wished to join our Clan. ThunderClan needs strong, new warriors so I've decided to accept them."

Night had potential yet I was still doubtful of Stream. However, I hoped that they would have kits and give us new warriors that way. "Night, from this moment on you will be known as Nightpaw. Ivypool will be your mentor. Stream, from this moment on you will be known as Streampaw. Molewhisker will be your mentor."

I dismissed the meeting. I thought I saw a few bushes rustle just outside of camp and a pair of eyes watching me from the shadows. I shook my head and they were gone. I must've imagined it.
