? POV
Flashback
The black-furred tom raced out of camp. I followed him as he found Blossomfall, who was stalking a mouse. I resisted the urge to attack her now, knowing I couldn't beat her and Night. I discovered why Night had done it. Blossomfall gave him catmint and tansy. I assumed either he was ill or someone he knew was ill.
As he had almost reached the WindClan border, I tackled him to the ground and planted a paw on his chest.
His eyes shone with fear. "You."
"Yes, me," I snarled.
Night struggled beneath my grasp. "I thought you..."
"It doesn't matter," I snapped. "You owe me a favor."
Night gulped nervously. "No."
I shook my head incredulously. "No? Well then why should I let you live?"
"You shouldn't," Night mumbled. "Go ahead. Kill me."
I unsheathed my claws and set them right against his throat. "Well then, I suppose your mate won't get the herbs, will she?"
I could tell from his eyes that I had guessed the right reason why he needed the catmint and tansy.
"I know where she lives," I lied with a purr.
Night thrashed about and tried to throw me off. "No, please! Just kill me instead!"
I rolled my eyes. "But that wouldn't hurt you as much, would it?"
"Okay!" he groaned miserably. "I will do it! I will do whatever you want! Just leave Stream alone!"
I didn't release him, not trusting that he wouldn't run off. "You have two days to figure out a way to join ThunderClan. After a half-moon of training, you will kill Blossomfall."
Night sighed. "What if I don't?"
"Well then, you can say good-bye to Stream." I took my paw off his chest and let him rise to his feet. "Choose wisely."
Blossomfall POV
Nightpaw was a very efficient hunter, it turned out. I watched his mentor test him, to see if he could hunt, and he brought back loads of prey. He didn't know how to catch birds though, so Ivypool had to teach him. I didn't bother to watch Streampaw's training. I was certain she would be as useless as Daisy had been, only good for bringing new life into the Clan.
I wasn't expecting Blackstar to storm into our camp that afternoon with a patrol of warriors. They seemed quite hostile, glaring at all of us.
"Well," I muttered to Thornclaw, who had been talking to me about activity along the WindClan border. "They look friendly."
Blackstar unsheathed his claws as I calmly padded over to him. "You mangy fox-hearts!"
"It's nice to see you too," I purred.
Blackstar bared his teeth. "How dare you?"
I glowered at him. "How dare you? You have nerve if you think you can march right into my camp and then act like this!"
"I have every right to come here. Give them back now or you can have a war. You stole ShadowClan's supplies!" Blackstar growled.
I laughed bitterly. "We stole nothing you delusional mouse-brain."
"We have proof. We know you stole the herbs Blossomfall," Blackstar hissed.
I unsheathed my claws. "My name is Blossomstar."
Blackstar lashed his tail impatiently. "You will never be a leader in my eyes."
I tensed my muscles, sensing that battle was moments away. "Oh you're a leader in my eyes. But Brokenstar was a leader too."
As his neck fur bristled, I leapt at him, crashing into his side, and the clearing descended into pure chaos.
