"Your woman doesn't look very happy with you, Dragonoff," Elias stated seriously as he stared after her when she stormed to the bar. His mood was now probably just as soured as Gabrielle's after the display he'd just witnessed. "Honestly I wouldn't be either if my mate were to do what you just did..." He glanced down at Kakra, his expression stony. She shifted her gaze awkwardly away, not before glancing irritatedly at Vincent.

"We've already spoken about this, Vincent," she muttered. She was honestly over this conversation. Maybe it was a mistake coming to this party...

Vincent sighed heavily, frustrated with himself. "I know, I know." How could he fuck up like this after so long? He seriously thought he'd had a reign on his feelings when it came to Kakra. Gabrielle had every right to be upset with him. But every time he saw Kakra, every single feeling he had for her came rushing back to him against his will. It was probably safe to say that she was his first love... It would seem that none of that mattered, however.

But something else was nagging him... "I'm sorry. I just had a question burning in my mind."

Elias perked up, now seeming to be in a bit of a better mood. That brought some relief to Vincent, who was now peeping over at the bar to see Dredger hovering over Gabrielle where she sat. What the fuck was he doing standing so close to her like that? A frown tugged at the corner of his lips, and he was about to mention it, but his friend quipped, "No, you cannot borrow me or my wife for a threesome, you twisted man."

Vincent rolled his eyes heavenward and Kakra exclaimed in surprise as Elias bursted out laughing at his own joke. "Please," Vincent sighed. "I wouldn't want the sight of you spoiling my good time with Gabrielle."

Kakra turned back and saw the aforementioned woman hunching over a glass of something. "I don't know, Vincent. It looks like whatever good time you had planned is going straight down the drain. I don't blame her, either. The poor girl. You ought to be ashamed of yourself."

Vincent withdrew from the tongue lashing and grimaced at the memory of Gabrielle's expression and body language as she left the group. He should never had let her walk away from him like that, especially since he was the cause of her emotional turmoil. The very last thing he wanted was his beloved irate with him. It was his job to please her in every single way, and right then, he was failing at his job.

He would rectify the situation, however...

"The question I had was for you, Kakra," he continued, now bringing the conversation into a serious point. "You knew that Camille wasn't my destiny."

The statement threw his two friends off guard. "You knew that?" Elias repeated in surprise as he turned to stare directly at her. Disbelief marring his features, he continued in disappointment. "Why didn't you tell him when you saw that vision? Why did you let him go through that heart ache when she—"

"She did warn me, Elias," Vincent chimed in to save his friend from anymore unwarranted chastising. "But you know how I get when I have my heart set on something. Kakra warned me on more than one occasion, but you know how stubborn I am." He chuckled darkly with a sad smile as the memories of that dark day came rushing back to him once more.

"What was your question, Vincent?" Kakra pushed.

"The incident with Camille has been haunting me since the very beginning of my relationship with Gabrielle. The trauma plagues my dreams sometimes, even, and I need to know... I just need to confirm that Gabrielle is the one who I'm destined to be with... I don't need anymore forces in my life proving to me that I'm unredeemable or unworthy of love because of my past sins. I need her to be it. My instinct tells me she is the one, but sometimes I just need some reassurance."
