≪ alice nichols alice felt that she was too harsh towards shawn but some parts of her assured her that it was the right thing to do. she couldn't develop feelings for him, she couldn't let him in and for her to later find out he doesn't like her the same way. alice needed to focus on herself right now, her career. she couldn't let a silly little kiss derail her from the path she wanted to go down. she also did not want to ruin a friendship between her and issy. even if she did develop feelings for shawn she can't admit them to herself because then she knows it's real. she can't let him in that easily, shawn doesn't know alice. alice felt like the more people she let in the more that could hurt her. alice is scared of feelings, she doesn't understand them. love. it has so much concept to it, it has different perspective to it. to alice, love is scary, loving someone can drive you insane but also loving someone can make you feel complete. it was all too complex for her to understand but maybe one day she falls in love and experience what it truly feels like. alice wonders if shawn loved lily, if she was his first love. and the more she thought about it the more her thoughts and guilt consumed her. alice decided for herself that she needed to forget about shawn and lily for awhile, she needed a getaway, she needed a break from it all. alice looked at all the flights available for a week getaway and she saw that there was one for greece. greece, she's always wanted to go there, the beauty captivated her. alice packed her stuff, her flight was later at three a.m. as she was packing her clothes and necessities her phone rang, it was issy. alice debated if she should answer it and after two calls she picked up the phone. "hey issy, sorry i was in the bathroom whilst you called." alice tried to sound normal. "hey alice, it's alright i was just wondering if you wanted to go out with me? you know like a girls night?" alice considered issy's offer and with her getaway and all she decided to go out. "yea issy text me where and what time" alice second guessed herself, was she being dramatic over this feelings thing? she just wanted to run and never come back but eventually reality will catch up to her and she would have to face it.
