A roar of applause erupted right after the guitarist's last note punctuated with loud cheering. The small group of people that had gathered in front of the improvised stage had by then doubled but wasn't cramped. The unknown group had chosen to settle on a spot near the Han River and perform on Christmas Eve in the middle of evening.
Seokjin was part of the public, showing his support very enthusiastically despite the cold weather. He came alone and had decided to stop by, initially just for the length of one song, but then chose to linger a bit more when the performance enchanted him. He enjoyed music very much and even more discovering new talents.
Warming his hands with a steaming hot cup of coffee, he brought it to his lips so as to softly blow on it when the lead singer's voice resonated through the amps. He wished everyone happy holidays and announced that 'now was the moment for all the lovers to get lovey-dovey' as one of the musicians moved to sit in front of an electronic piano. Seokjin smirked at the thought of it, breathing in deeply.
As if on cue when the first notes of the heartfelt ballad were heard, thin snow flakes fell from the sky to everyone's delight. One by one, heads tilted upwards to watch in amazement the magical scenery including Seokjin's. He then looked back down around him and that was when he felt his heart skip a beat.
Amid some people, he found you just a few feet away and he instantly thought of how surreal you looked as you happily gazed towards the sky to watch the snow flakes fall down. Wrapped up in a thick scarf, you cheeks reddened by the cold — Seokjin asked himself how come he hadn't noticed you earlier and was almost sure you were an hallucination; a very, very pleasant one.
Min Yoongi
Despite the low temperatures, a great number of people came to enjoy the new ice rink installed in town. It was wide enough for all to enjoy and beautifully decorated with a Christmas design. Everyone seemed to have the time of their lives. Except you. You had grudgingly agreed to accompany your group of friends who wanted to be among the first ones to try the new rink and throughout the whole way to it, gradually realized you were surely making a big mistake. They had promised you that you wouldn't regret it and above all wouldn't make fun of you.
With an uncertain demeanor and weak legs, you put an unsteady foot on the white ice. Clinging with all your might on the guardrail, your eyes were fixed on your faltering feet as your friends cheered on you for you to feel more at ease and praised you for your courage.
You skated a tiny bit more fluently and when you felt bold enough not to stare at your feet anymore and look ahead of you, you noticed how far your friends then were, who probably grew tired of your slow and uncertain pace. You didn't mind them having fun together and decided by the time you'd end your circuit you'd go and sit down until they'd head back home.
Still holding on the guardrail, the space between you and the small exiting door shortened and then you decided, in a whim, to let go of it and skate the few meters on your own. The first seconds, everything seemed all right but for some reason, your left foot decided to place itself in front of your right one and made you stumble upon nothing. In a split of second, you swore you saw your life flash by.
Until a firm grip grasped your arm and prevented the inevitable to happen. Heart pounding hard in your chest, you instantly looked at your lifesaver, clinging onto to him for dear life. Yoongi didn't seem to mind it as he gazed back at you with wide eyed and mouth agape. Time seemed to have stop as he took in your scared features — you seemed so vulnerable and in some ways he felt the need to never leave your sides.
