Chapter 9

     (Millie)
I couldn't help it. The guilt was eating me and I my tummy hurt, you know the feeling when your so upset. I sat in my room, all the lights off, Friends playing on my laptop. Not even Joey or Chandler could make me laugh. Being miserable because you have no friends is definitely not the best mood to watch Friends, that's for certain. Suddenly there was a knock on my door.
"Come in," I just managed to croak out, not entirely sure who it could of been because May was shopping and Peter, Peter was wherever, just not home. The next thing I knew Bucky had waltzed into my room and flopped next to me on my bed.
"Peter was right, you do look like shit," He decided, looking at my face. "Have you even looked in a mirror recently?" He asked, standing up to grab my make up wipes. "I think the last time I saw you like this was when..." He started but trailed of near the end. I simply just nodded, knowing he meant when my parents died.
"So, what's got you in this tizz, have I got to beat anyone up again?" He asked, a small smile gracing his lips.
"Me and Zuzanna," I started until Bucky put his hand up.
"Woah woah woah. I'm not beating up Zuzanna, I really like her," He admitted, making Millie grin.
"I wasn't gonna ask you to beat him up in the first place but it's nice to know you fancy her. Y'know you need to tell me more stuff like this, we are best friends after all,"
"Really? I thought it was you and Zuzu and me an-"
"No. It's me, you and Zuzu but I'm not allowed to be the third wheel, ok? OH! We can go on double dates, me, you, Zuzu and Will!" I grin, sitting up straight. Bucky rolled his eyes.
"You might want to talk to Zuzanna and apologise before you start creating all these plans," He chuckled, looking down at her. "C'mon, I'll walk you out," he said, standing up.
I sighed and stood up, heading over to Zuzanna's.

Once I was there, I knocked on her door. I could feel Bucky watching from across the road, he had to go home because he had some party to get ready for or something, I wasn't really paying much attention. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Zuzanna opened the door. She gave me a cold stare and I couldn't do anything except smile at her sheepishly.
"Uh hi, I came to apologize," I mumbled, biting my lip gently. Zuzanna nodded as if to tell me to continue. "And I'm sorry that I'm dating Will but we're not all you, we can't all get any guy we want. Will has been sweet and caring, And I know that you're gonna say Steve is all those things and he likes me but he really doesn't. And I guess I just wanted to say it feels a bit stupid to fall out over a guy, y'know?" I say. A saw a small smile across her face and before I knew it she was hugging me and of course I hugged back. I could feel my whole body be taken over by relief.
"It sucked being mad at you, hated every minute of it, you're my best friend and I love you. I don't care about Will. I mean I'm still slightly upset about it but I'm happy if you're happy," She decided with a big happy smile which made me smile wider.
"Hey, I'm having a party if you want to come?" Zuzanna offered. I smiled and nodded.
"Sounds great," she smiled at her

After Millie and I made up I invited her to my party, we were getting ready in her room whilst listening to 5SOS. I was doing Millie's makeup whilst she was texting Will. "Millie Is he going to the party?" I asked anxiously

"No he can't tonight something came up." I was still upset with her for dating Will but at least she's happy. I was putting my shirt on when Peter came into the room he quickly turned around when he saw me, I put on my shirt then he turned around he had a prominent blush on his cheeks "I'm so sorry Zuzanna I didn't mean to, I didn't know..." he said sweetly he turned back around.

"It's okay Peter" I said kindly. "Thanks Zu" he turned to face Millie "Mills could I go to Zuzanna's party pleaseeeee" he pleaded. Millie looked at me then back at Peter "Okay fine but your not drinking" She said half jokingly half serious. "You know I won't" he said whilst running out of the room.

When we finished getting ready we walked over to my house and waited for the guests to arrive. One after another they came flooding in, once everyone arrived Bucky took me aside to ask if we could talk in private, we went on the front porch. "Zu do you know if anyone else is coming?"

"No I don't think so, why?" I asked confused

"Because I wanted to ask something and It's something I wanted to do for a long time."

My heart started racing, and I have to admit I had a big crush on him from day one but I tried not to act like it so he wouldn't notice.

"I know we haven't known each other for a really long time but I really like, I would like to be more than friends..."

"Mega best friends?" I playfully punched his arm whilst a wide grin spread across his face.

"No come on you know what I mean."

"Nope I don't think so." I added jokingly he rolled his eyes then cupped his hands over my cheeks and slowly went in for a kiss. When he pulled away he had the exact same grin when he asked me to go on the "not date" and I agreed. I was the happiest girl at this moment, soon after we went back Inside to quickly tell Millie what just happened.

After a couple of minutes I found Millie talking to Nat "Nat I'm stealing her" and pulled her aside. "Millie you have no idea what the hell just happened!" She looked at me and a huge smile spread across her face "No way! Bucky finally kissed you!" she exclaimed "Shhh a little bit quieter cause Nat's here." She nodded I left her  with a smile and went to talk with the other guests.
