Aidens plan

After we established the new "super team", everyone quickly returned to their usual positions so that no one would notice they were gone. Lisa provided me with food and water, which is exactly what I needed. I've barely eaten or drink anything for weeks. I've never tasted better jello my whole life.

"Lisa, can I ask you something?" I said. She looks up from her paper work, startled by my sudden question.

"Yes, of course." She responds.

"While Clara and I were talking, she told me about a place in here called area twenty-six. What do you know about it?" I could tell that I had caught her off guard. She stayed silent looking down at her paperwork. Then she took a deep breath.

"Jessica, this is stuff I'm not sure I should discuss with you. It has nothing to do with getting out of here." She answered. Obviously she knew something, and it's important to know every possible way out.

"Lisa, i can handle it. Please tell me." I begged. She took another long, deep breath.

"Area twenty-six is a cynical place. I've been in there only once when there was an emergency with one of the kids." She stopped.

"Wait, the kids are still alive that get sent there?" I asked. That means that Clara's friend Kevin could still be alive.

"Well, you could say that..." she trailed off. What the hell does that mean?

"What is Aiden doing to those kids?" I couldn't even imagine what was happening to this kids. Lisa suddenly slammed her fist on the table.

"That's enough!" She yelled. I jumped back a little in surprise. She breathed heavily. "Jessica, that place, it's not important. It will not be part of our plan." Then she stomped back to her papers and continued on with her paperwork. I didn't think Lisa had that much anger.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Panic rises inside me as I quickly get up to get boosted into the vent, careful not to mess with my leg. I slowly slide the vent entrance back in its place. Lisa goes to the door.

"Oh my goodness Clara, you gave us quite a fright." My heart slowly calms down and I catch my breath. I climb out of the vent. I fall to the floor, sending a little shock through my leg. Clara looked worried.

"Clara, what is it?" I ask her. She gulps.

"It's Aiden," she starts. "He's planning on doing something to Sam." She finishes. My heart stops. Sam? How would Clara know?

"What is he planning?" Lisa asks. She shakes her head.

"I'm not sure. I heard him talking to his father in the kitchen while I was cleaning dishes. He says that sense he can't get Sam to cooperate, he's going 'the old fashioned way'. What do you think that could mean?"

The old fashioned way? The is that supposed to mean? I looked over at Lisa, but she looks just as confused as me.

"Hmm.... the old fashioned way," Lisa thinks. Then, her eyes widen as she realizes something. "We have to get Sam out of there."

"Why? What do you know that we don't?" I question. She pauses for a moment.

"Girls, there's something you should know about this place. Aiden, he doesn't just kidnap people. He kidnaps supernatural creatures and does 'experiments' on them. At least, that's what he calls them. He tortured them into submission. He has hundreds of vampires, werewolves, demons, and more to deal with is dirty work." That was a lot to take in. How was it possible that Aiden could control all of these monsters? And where is he doing it? Then it hit me.
