Monday morning, a lot of days till we are able to continue with the demonic investigation, days the person that is after us is using to find a way of destroying us. Days the demons get more and more power. Days for my dad-black-hoddie to make a plan to save our asses the next time. Doesn't mom realize this is a bad idea? Is she blind to see the risk they are taking? A demon could attack and we won't be alert.

...

I go downstairs to the kitchen, mom is making breakfast, something with eggs and bacon, things dad loves to eat.

"Morning" I say.

"Morning" she answers back.

"Mom, we have to talk"

"Nothing to do with magic" she demans "not even talk about it"

"Are you creazy?!" I yell.

She turns around and is now looking at me "Don't you ever talk to me again like that!"

"Sorry, mom. I'm just really angry"

"Hang out with your friends or something" she says.

She is right, it's been a while since I don't see my friends. I grab my phone and text Andrew, a friend from school. 'Wanna go have breakfast?' I hit send.

Dad comes in. I look at him furious, he's lying and won't even admit it. He avoids my eyes and sits on a chair near the table.

Andrew texts back 'Sure, meet you at Bread & Fed' the place we have always liked to go. I've met Andrew for a year now and we are really good friends.

"Going out" I say as I go out of the kitchen right to my room to get dressed properly since I'm wearing an old white shirt and red shorts.

...

I arrive to Bread & Fed, I decided to wear a blue t-shirt I got in Los Angeles, blue jeans and my red pair of converse. I see Andrew in the entry.

"Hey" he says.

"It's been a while huh?"

"Yeah, what have you been doing, Chris? Who is the fortunate girl?" He jokes.

"Nothing like that... Family issues, you know" I say.

"I get it.." His expression makes me think he has some family issues too, not alike mine, but a non-magical family issues "Let's get in' he points at the door.

We get a table for two in the center of the place, we both order a swandich without avocado on it, there's a reason why we hang out that well, we are pretty alike.

"Are you going to that party on friday?" he says.

"I guess so, I don't have anything batter to do" I answer.

"You really should go. Invite Amy, you both will have a good time there"

"Yes, I guess we'll go. I hope it is good" I smile.

"I really hope so to" he seems worried...

"Hey, is there a fortunate girl for you?" I ask.

"No, I have gone out with some girls but non of them seems right for me"

"You'll find her dude".

...

We finished our food and we are ready to go. We walk right to the door.

"Let's repeat this other day" I propose.

"Sure" he says "Hey, go to that party on friday" he smiles.

"I will" I smile back.
