Chapter 13: They Found Me...

Nate's P.O.V.

I was irritated thet Katty went for a walk by herself again but sometimes she needs to clear her head and be alone. I understand that. I had been waiting for her to walk in the door, but when she never did I got nervous. I waited a little longer before I realized... Katty had been gone 10 HOURS. Holy shit!!!! I immediately went looking for her.

Katty's P.O.V.

I hadn't realized I fell asleep until I could hear shouting. It was muffled through the rain, and I was thankfull for the tree trunk. I listened for a minute before I had a good idea who the voice belonged to. It turned out to be MadPat.

"Mad! I'm over here!"

"Katty! Girl, Nate's worried sick about you. What were you doing?"

"I went for a walk and I got lost. I was going to send a text but when I finally got signal my phone died." I held up the device to show him it wouldn't turn on.

"Damn. Nate is going to be so pissed. You know that, right?"

"Yeah..."

When we made it back, I was expecting to be yelled at until I went deaf. I wasn't. Instead arms were wrapped around me with a 'where the hell were you' from just about everyone. MadPat told them what I had told him, while I started balling into Nates shirt. He shushed me and took me to our room.

"Baby I'm not mad, it's ok."

"No... I was so scared..."

"Shh, shh. It's ok, you don't need to be scared anymore, ok? I'm right here."

"I didn't know what to do."

"I know. You're safe now so don't cry anymore. Will a kiss make you feel better?"

"Which kind?"

"Whichever one you want."

"A vampire kiss will..."

"Ok."

Nate moved my hair away from my neck and gently bit down, immediately breaking skin. I flinched a little but otherwise didn't move. When he pulled away he could see I was still upset and, knowing my sweet spot, bit my collar. A whimper of pleasure escaped me and Nate pulled away again. He looked at me just as I closed my eyes for sleep.

I was thankful... They found me.
