I opened my eyes, and it appeared to already be the next day.
I sat up, an I realized that I fell asleep on the couch last night.
"Good morning" I heard someone said. I turned around, to see that Luke had prepared breakfast.
"I didn't know you can cook." I joked. "Now you do" he replied, spreading his arms open, "breakfast is served."
I laughed and stood up. I head to the bathroom, first, to brush my hair and my teeth. Then, went straight to the dining table.
"This is pretty good." I complimented him, "just needs a little salt."
"Thanks. Not bad for a second timer ey." He proudly said, imitating a Scottish accent.
"Second timer?" I asked, "This is just your second time? When was the first time?"
"Back when I was thirteen." He replied, "I insisted on cooking lunch for my family,"
"How did it go?" I asked as I eat the Bacon strips he cooked.
"They seemed to be happy with it." He chuckled. "But it gave my brothers stomach aches eventually. And uh.. my mom ended up throwing up."
"Ooh. Sorry about that." I tried to hide a smile. "How about your dad?"
"Well, luckily he had a strong appetite." We laughed and continued eating. After I finished my meal, I stood up to wash the dishes, and he went to the couch.
"Hey Zoe. Mind if I use your guitar for a moment?" He shouted "I just can't live without playing anything on it." "Sure!" I replied out. I was about to finish washing one last plate, until I heard my stomach growl. It wasn't a hungry growl. It was something else. It hurt. I dropped the last plate on the floor, and a groan left my mouth.
I curled up on the chair next to me, and heard footsteps coming towards me. "Oh my god. Are you okay?" I heard Luke said with concern. My face full of pain, but I just nodded. I stood up and stumbled to the toilet, and I suppose everyone knows what happened after that.
I was in the toilet for about two hours. Once I got out, I inhaled plenty of air (that was not toilet air), and exhaled with relief. "I'm so so so sorry." Luke apologized with his head down. "What do you put in those?" I joked, "Poison?" He stayed quiet, but I sat beside him on the couch anyway. "Apology accepted. I like the thought of cooking for me though." I tried to cheer him up. "Thank you"
Finally, he smiled and lifted his head up to look at me.
At last, his sparkling blue eyes met mines once again. I've been dying to see them for a while now. I didn't know why, but I did. It was like he was staring into my soul, but he meant the best. He kept his sweet smile, but I couldn't keep up with how precious he was, so I eventually looked away.
But as I did, he caught my chin with his fingers and aligned my face back to his. "Hey." He said. "That means you'll be in charge of lunch." I showed a sign of annoyance on my face. Why do I keep letting him do this to me? I wouldn't even have a single chance with Luke Hemmings from 5 Seconds of Summer.
"You're annoying." I turned away, but all of a sudden, he grabbed my cheek and instantly leaned forward, placing his lips on mine.
I pulled away, and looked at him, confused. "Wha?"
"Sorry.. I.." He hesitated, "I've been wanting to do that since we sang that song in your room." I looked away and gulped. "Why is that?" I asked, trying not to look at him straightly. "I like you, Zoe." He replied. "So much." "Is that why you gave me a stomach ache?" I laughed.
