Not only me (Cat Noir x Ladybug)

Chapter 20

-Adrien's POV-

I decided to take a stroll on my own before properly settling in. Going into the nearby town, I saw shops and stalls and a market.
Hiding in a dark alleyway, I transformed.

"Plagg, claws out!"

I jumped onto a roof then sprung into a forest behind the shops.

It was starting to rain, so i just moped about sadly.
"Something wrong, kitty?"

"I'm fine M'lady. The rain is just gloomy." I replied, leaning against a tree.
We went through back roads, transformed into our normal selves and found ourself on a main road trying to cross over.
"LOOK OUT!!" I screamed, spinning around so the car would give me the most impact.
I tried to throw her onto the pavement but my efforts were useless.

There was a piercing noise deafening my ears, my vision was blurry but I could see Marinette lying on the ground.
"M-Maarrii.."

-No one's POV-

"Quick, they're not breathing!" A paramedic shouted whilst a man brought out the stretchers.
It started to rain heavily, typical england. "16 year old male and female. They had student iD's around their necks." The man mumbled, "Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, the young Paris model."
They were quickly loaded into a big ambulance and a nurse started the truck and drove as fast as she could to the hospital.

Once they'd reached the hospital, a lot of commands were made and the two students were wheeled off to different rooms.

-A nurse's POV-

"She's 16 years old and her address is a bakery in Paris...She's currently studying at a college here, though. This girl needs to have minor stitches on her hand and the back of her neck, nothing big though. Possible memory loss, but we wont know until she wakes up, same for the 16 year old male.."

- 1 hour later -
-Marinette's POV-

I don't remember a thing that'd happened, but I was in a hospital bed hooked up to painkillers.
"Ahh, good to see you're awake Marinette. I'm Dr Clark. Your friend is awake and well, but can only seem to remember everything before your class's alleged trip to Hawaii. Nothing after."
"Wait- we're not in Paris? W-where am I, then?" I asked, becoming frightened.
"You're in england. You came abroad to study."

The doctor scribbled some information down on a clipboard then abruptly left.
Another doctor came in.
"What can you remember before the accident, Marinette?" He asked, sitting down.
"I can only remember everything up until the first day in Hawaii...Apart from that, well, everything is a blur."

"Your friend, Adrien said the same thing. Tomorrow morning you'll be flown back to Paris, courtesy of free health care. Try and remember as much as possible."
After that, the doctor left and shut the door.
I tried my best to remember, but nothing came to mind.
Suddenly, my heart started beating rapidly.
My miraculous!

I felt my ears and took a breath of relief. Ok, still there...
Tikki!
"Hi Marinette! I hope you're ok..I wanna be back in Paris!"

- - - The next afternoon - - -

Finally, we were back in Paris. I felt totally fine, i just had a small headache.
"Yeah, urm...I'm going to find a college in Paris, mum, dad."

They nodded and agreed.

At the moment, all I wanted was to see Adrien. I was so head over heels for him! Or Cat Noir...Those two are so different. I always wondered who Cat Noir was. Something told me it could be Adrien, but they are so different, that's impossible!

(Side note- uh oh! They've forgotten each other's identities! And that means Adrien forgot April...)

I wish i could regain my forgotten memories. The doctor said it looked as if i wouldn't be getting them back, but to pay extra attention to everything incase anything triggers them to return.

I headed out to the mall, taking the really long way with all the muddy, twisting roads.
Why did the accident have to happen to me, of all people? Why does it have to happen to anyone?

"Marinette, maybe it's best you don't know Cat Noir's identity and he doesn't know Ladybug's." Tikki said, flying out of my bag.

"Oh, Tikki...I want to remember Hawaii. And I want to know Cat Noir's identity..I could of sworn something significant happened between him and I in Hawaii.." Tears bubbled around my eyes and I shivered when they hit my cold cheeks.
I couldn't help but notice that Tikki had a guilty look on her face, "Are you okay?" I asked.

She nodded her little head then flew back into my bag.
Squinting my eyes suspiciously, i kept walking on the muddy path.

When i finally reached the mall, I had an hour and a half to spend there until it closed.
I bought sushi for dinner, bought a new dress and shoes, a curling wand and some new makeup,
It was about time i treated myself.

The walk home was lonely, yet i still decided to take the long way.
Tikki was asleep and nobody was about.
"Marinette! Over here!"

Adrien!

I ran over to him and pulled him into a hug. "You don't know how worried I was. I can't remember anything, but we were in the accident together..."

"Say no more." He whispered, hugging me back even tighter.

We said our goodbyes once I reached my home, and I was upset to be away from him.
"Hi honey!" My mum smiled as I walked up my stairs.

I blanked her, slumping into my computer chair sadly and kicking my attic door shut.

-Adrien's POV-

I got into my care home, sighing sadly as I laid in my bed.
To cheer me up, I opened my photo box and pulled out the first photo.

"Who is that...?" I mumbled, staring at the girl in the picture with me.
I was in a hospital bed and she was in the other bed in the hospital room.
For a moment, I was extremely confused.

The date was quite recent, before the car crash. Could this be why I couldn't remember who this girl was?
There was a clipboard on the end of her bed.
In big black sharpie "April Rivers" was written.

All of a sudden, everything came back. My memories, all of them. Marinette is Ladybug! We fell out, made up...But I know for a fact that I need her. I can't wait until tomorrow.

Opening my window quietly, I opened my bag for Plagg.

"Adrien? I'm ASLEEP." He growled, curling back up.
"Can camembert tempt you? Eat up  quick, though."

"Of course!" He grinned, taking the cheese.

In two minutes, he'd finished.

"Plagg, claws out!"

I jumped out of my window and ran to her house. It was late, 10pm but I had to go, it couldn't wait.

Luckily she was sitting on her balcony.

"Cat Noir? What are you doing he-"

I didn't let her finish her sentence.
Grabbing her by the shoulders, I kissed her.
I did this for two reasons.
I really, really wanted to.
I hoped it would trigger her memory.

I finally let go, blushing and shivering.

"It's you. Adrien. I remember...I remember everything!"
