Not only me (Cat Noir x Ladybug)

Chapter 9

-Cat Noir's POV-

"That was majorly difficult. More so than usual. That hawkmoth guy really has it out for us. What do you think?" I asked LadyBug, sitting on a wall.

"Well, he and his akumas are certainly not in our favour. And i'm about to change back, but your ring isn't even flashing.."

"We can go to a place where no one will find us. Please. I want to talk to you."

She sighed and nodded, walking with me to a place under a bridge by the river.
It was 10:00pm, the entire city was lit up, it was gorgeous. Except it was quite dark under this bridge.

Ladybug changed back into her normal form then slumped down the wall.
"M'lady, y-you're hurt..." I stammered, looking at a graze on her arm.

"It's just a small graze, silly kitty." She giggled, putting her jacket on.

"Yeah but, i lov- i mean, i care about you and it looked painful."

She rolled her eyes and patted her hand next to her. I sat there and stared into her eyes, with a weird feeling in my chest. Kind of like a burning sensation, it didn't hurt i just got it whenever i was around her.

"Cat...Why can't i know your true identity?"

-2 weeks and six days later-

-Marinette's POV-

I sat awkwardly in Adrien's car, waiting for his bodyguard to start driving. When he finally did, I sighed in relief.
In what felt like forever, we finally got to the airport and boarded a first class plane.

"Hey, Adrien...This is so cool! There's nobody else on first class!"

"Please sit down and fasten your seatbelts. We take off in three minutes." A voice sounded, letting us know our flight was leaving soon.

Adrien and i sat next to eachother, with him by the window.
An eighteen hour flight...good god.
The plane took off and in 6 minutes we were given the ok to take our seat belts off.
I explored the whole of first class, every place i was allowed to go.

"Mari, the flight attendant is bringing out food soon. Why don't you sit down?" Adrien suggested, looking through the window.

I shrugged then sat back down, and soon enough our food came.

Pasta salad, and peach pie for pudding.
I ate quickly, and after having a face wash in the airplane bathroom, i was exhausted.

Taking a blanket from underneath my seat, I got as comfy as I could and closed my eyes. Adrien was already half asleep, and I was just about ready to pass out.

-Adrien's POV-

I don't know how, but Marinette was managing to sleep through turbulence.
Most of it was over now, but the plane shook every now and then.
Her head was on my chest and her blanket had fallen off, so i pulled it back over her shoulders and sighed. She looked so peaceful, and I hated not telling her my secret but for some reason i just couldn't.
I noticed that she looked upset when i tell her she can't know who I am, and i really hated that. But, every time, something is stopping me from telling her.

The hotel was really nice, Marinette had gone to her room with the girls and I was unpacking my stuff.
I looked out of the window and in the far distance I could of sworn i saw that weird hawkmoth guy.

"Dazed from confusion are we Adrien? You were completely zoned out there." Alya said from the door of my hotel room, that i forgot to shut when i came in here. "Everyone's waiting for you, we're going in the swimming pool."

-10 minutes later-

Walking out into the pool area, I saw my vision of Hawkmoth in a window three stories above me.
I rubbed my eyes and looked back at the window.

Gone.

I wore casual swim trunks and a surfer bracelet and when i tried to make conversation with Marinette, she was stammering and failing to speak even a sentence.

All of a sudden there was a loud bang.

Emerging from the corner was a girl, about my age, dressed in some crazy multicolored tutu, a sequiny top and an insane head dress.
"I will make everyone my sparkle slaves!!!" She yelled, "You'll forever be mine to work. You will do whatever i say!"

You have got to be kidding me.

Here we go.

-Marinette's POV-

I quickly ran upstairs and put my clothes on, as did Adrien.

Shortly after, I transformed into Ladybug and ran back to the poolside.

Wait.

Cat Noir...?

"Nice to see you M'lady, bet you didn't expect me here, now i like have this guy captured but need you to do the akuma thingy."

I sighed and captured the akuma, "Bye bye little butterfly...Miraculous LadyBug!"

I puffed my cheeks out then looked at Cat Noir, who was now on the ground, noticing that there was a tear in his suit and he had a really severe injury and it was bleeding awfully.

Without any hesitation whatsoever, I ran over there and dropped to his side.

"Oh no no no this is all my fault...If i'd of come a minute or two earlier then...How did this happ..Never mind that.." I had no idea what to do, "Your suit is supposed to be magic how on earth did it tear??"

He wasn't saying anything. "L-Lady..."

"No don't say anything just breathe slowly, stay calm..."

"Mari, look at me..You're gonna be fine, o-okay...? I know that you'll one day find hawkmoth, and..."

My heart sank.

"Nonononono....Don't you dare!! Don't go, stay with me, Cat?? Cat Noir?? Stop joking around you silly kitty..."

Suddenly, his breathing rapidly returned. I wrapped a cloth from the first aid box around his waist then ran my hand through his hair.
How is it that his ring is still full? That's odd. And my earrings, too.

"You scared me so badly..!!" I croaked, sitting him up so he could lean on me instead of the floor.

Cat Noir left, walking weakly. I felt terrible...
Minutes later, Adrien came along. I was in my normal form now.
For some reason, he was holding his side, and walking weirdly.
Oh well.

"Well that was...Eventful. I'm gonna go get a lemonade popsicle. You want one, Adrien?"

He nodded and followed me to the drinks bar, where we found all of our friends.
