Chapter 22~ I still need you

Ladybug's POV-

"I'm sorry, Gabriel but this is just how it's got to be." I said strictly, handing Mr Agreste over to the police.
Cat Noir watched sadly as his father was driven away, sighing when he was out of sight.
Deciding to give him time alone, I told him i was going home.

I felt bad leaving him there, but he looked as if he needed it.
However, once i'd gotten home, I had an awful feeling in the pit of my stomach.

'You almost died, Adrien...Because of me.'
'Can I see your scars?'
'Everything will turn out fine, Adrien.'

-Adrien's POV-

'I guess I can finish what I started later.'

"And nobody can stop me this time..." I mumbled, closing the latch on the bathroom door and then locking it.

"I'm sorry, M'lady...I can't do this anymore.."

I'd checked to see if anybody else was in this crappy home, but apart from me, it was empty.

-Marinette's POV-

"Adrien...?"

"Adriennn..You in here?" I gulped, tapping on the bathroom door.
"Adrien?" I said again, raising my voice.
"Adrien, open the door!"

"Marinette! You must save him!" Tikki squealed in fright.

Well, I can't get this door open on my own. I'll need help.

"Tikki, spots on!"

Being ladybug didn't make me any stronger. But I can use my power.
"Lucky charm!"

"A bobby pin? What am i supposed to do with this?!"

My eyes shot to the bathroom door, and then i used the bobby pin to unlock it.
Adrien was lying on his side on the floor, his slightly overgrown blonde hair covering his eyes, an empty bottle of pills tossed to the side along with a blade and an also empty bottle of vodka.

"Oh, no..."

I dropped down to his side, holding his hand. My hair fell around my face as i reverted to my normal self, so i took in a deep breath and tied it into a messy bun.
"His heart is still beating, T-Tikki.." I sniffled, pulling his limp body into my arms.
"Get him to a hospital. Now Marinette!"

-15 minutes later-

I sat still, clutching Adrien's ring in my palm. Nobody, except me or him, are getting their hands on it.

As doctors and nurses wheeled him away, i quietly sobbed.
I was there for the remainder of the day, until i was finally allowed to see him at 4pm.

He was sleeping peacefully, so i carefully placed his miraculous where it belonged.
After an hour, he woke up.

-5:04 pm-

"You're a sight for sore eyes." He mumbled weakly, sitting up.
"Thanks for bringing me here, Mari. I don't know what I was thinking...I'm so sorry..."

Deciding to change the subject, I looked at his hair. "You're way overdue for a haircut, why don't I take you for one when you get discharged?"

He smiled at me then laid back down and fell asleep again, this time holding my hand as i laid my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"You'll be okay....Y-You stupid cat!" I cried, "I l-love you...."

Yes. I don't know how i knew but i did. Everything was going to turn out absolutely fine.
